We are absolutely right to hold firm at 30m. This isn’t a frivolous year after the financials we’ve posted and more so we shouldn’t be held to ransom by a club we have funded the existence of for a number of years.

If they don’t want our money then that’s fine they can keep him. 40m is his ceiling while he’s at sass anyway and they won’t get that from a team he wants to play for

The transfer of Manuel Locatelli to Juventus is almost over. Locatelli has agreed with Juventus on a salary of 3 million euros per year until 2026 and has announced his agreement to join the team.
Juventus are also confident that they will finalize the transfer on loan, with a purchase fee of € 38m to € 40m, so they have not considered a replacement for Locatelli.

Sassuolo's intentions are not to drag out the negotiations too long: they know that in addition to Arsenal, who are now out of the discussion, other important offers will arrive from abroad, they made this clear to Juventus.(Di Marzio)

We better move on and look for other prospects.
Outside of Italy they laugh you out of the room if you come up with any of this loan with obligaton/option bullshit, unless you are going for other teams deadwood. Locatelli in a Chiesa type of deal is our best hope.

If we don't get Locatelli we either get Pjanic or no one. We have no money.

Maybe Cherubini doesnt know how to sign a player. We went from rookie coach to rookie director
Or maybe he does.

I too find this meeting dragging a bit frustrating, but we need to understand that this is what negotiating means when you don't have a lot of money to spend or don't want to spend x amount on the player. Cherubini knows that Locatelli wants only us and is taking his time. Why should we be the one to agree on their demands and not the opposite way?

We will get him at the end, everone needs to calma a bit.
