Inter Will Sign Diarra, Juventus Won’t Sign Lampard – Claims Bronzetti

FIFA agent Ernesto Bronzetti believes that Inter Milan will sign Real Madrid’s Mahamadou Diarra but says that Frank Lampard will not be moving to Juventus.

The Nerazzurri are currently in the midst of an injury crisis and are virtually certain to purchase a midfielder during the January transfer window.

Olivier Dacourt has been ruled out for the rest of the season, Dejan Stankovic may require an operation, Patrick Vieira has been plagued by injury problems, while Luis Figo is currently recovering from a broken leg.

“I expect the purchase of a great midfielder,” said Bronzetti.

“I think that the objective could be Diarra of Real Madrid. He is someone that pleases [Coach] Mancini."

Meanwhile Juventus are also likely to make a top-class signing in midfield, either in January or the summer.

Two names heavily linked with the club are Hamburg’s Rafael Van der Vaart and Chelsea’s Frank Lampard.

“Van der Vaart is a very good player,” said Bronzetti.

“One thing is certain, I don’t think they will sign Lampard. Brits that have landed in Italy have always disappointed. The same thing has happened with the Spaniards.”

Diarra Wanted By Inter And Juventus, Says Agent

Sport.es spoke to Real Madrid midfield anchorman Mahamadou Diarra's agent, who claims that the Malian is wanted by Internazionale and Juventus...

Sport.es claims that Mahamadou Diarra's future at the Bernabeu is in dout, with Bernd Schuster allegedly feeling that Fernando Gago - who rose to prominence during Diarra's absence at the Africa Cup of Nations - is a better long-term option in defensive midfield.

Real Madrid have yet to comment on the issue but, if true, it appears that there are no shortage of clubs chasing the midfielder.

The player's agent, Frederic Guerra, told Sport, "I held meetings with Marco Branca [of Inter] and [Juventus'] Alessio Secco and I know personally that they are very interested in the transfer.

"They did not have sufficient budgets in January to complete such a move, but we're hoping to get a deal on the table by June."

Meanwhile, Tuttosport claimed yesterday that Liverpool also have designs on the Malian ace, who could potentially serve as a replacement for Javier Mascherano if the Argentine's permanent switch to Anfield fails to materialise.

Juve Aim For Aguero And Maxi?

Juventus could be set for a double swoop for Atletico Madrid pair Sergio Aguero and Maxi Rodriguez, according to Tutosport.

It has been well documented that following the disastrous transfer campaign this season, Juve are set to go all out this summer to sign some top-class stars.

Their primary target was believed to be Werder Bremen playmaker Diego, however interest has cooled recently due to opposition from both the player and his club.

The Bianconeri have thus turned their attentions elsewhere and they are considering making a huge transfer bid for Atletico Madrid’s Argentine duo Sergio Aguero and Maxi Rodriguez.

'Kun’ Aguero, 19, is one of the best young talents in world football, and had been linked with a move to Juventus before the outbreak of the Calciopoli crisis in 2006.

He instead signed for Atletico, where he has been in scintillating form this season. Hugely admired by none other than Diego Maradona, whose daughter is actually girlfriend to the star, Aguero would undoubtedly command a monstrous transfer fee.

Sporting director Alessio Secco has been well known to prefer going for cheaper alternatives, as exemplified by his decision to sign Momo Sissoko instead of Javier Mascherano last month.

However Aguero’s team-mate Maxi Rodriguez would certainly come at a price acceptable to Secco.

The 27-year-old, who holds Italian citizenship, is most famous for scoring probably the best goal at World Cup 2006. The flying winger has flair and trickery, something Juve have been sorely missing this season.

Inter work on Diarra deal

Inter are close to cementing a summer deal for Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra.

The Nerazzurri have been tracking the Mali native for months, but sporting director Marco Branca is now in talks with Diarra’s agent to thrash out details of a summer transfer.

Diarra is under contract with the Merengues until 2011, but agent Frederic Guerra believes that a deal can be done.

“From the beginning of talks with Branca I knew that Inter were the only club that really want to finalise a deal for Diarra,” he explained.

“In January the necessary conditions weren’t there for a transfer to take place, but now we are working on the more realistic aim of June.”

Real paid Lyon around £15m for the defensive midfielder in the summer of 2006, but the Italian champions are expected to pay just £9m, according to reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 26-year-old hasn’t settled at the Bernabeu and it is believed that the Spanish champions are keen to trade him in before his value drops further.

Manchester United and Juventus have also been linked with Diarra, but it now appears that the Beneamata are in pole position.
