Real Madrid's Diarra "ready" for Juventus move

Juventus are closing in on a deal for Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra.

Tuttosport says the Mali international has accepted he's leaving Madrid at the end of the season and said: "I'm ready to accept my transfer."

Juve are in talks with Real for the ex-Lyon midfielder, who will leave for £10 million.

Meanwhile, talks between Juve and Werder Bremen have stalled over Thorsten Frings. Bianconeri officials are eyeing Lyon midfielder Thiago as an alternative.

Actually, I see nothing special in Diarra he can offer to us in order to waste £10M from our transfer budget on him, I prefer Zanetti to him.

This would be a good move in my opinion. M. Diarra would fit in very well and fill an absolutely pivotal position for us. I am all for it. I would not care to see Frings or Thiago though. Diarra would be the way to go. We need to get some solid defenders. We will need to defend a lot better next year against better competition than we are now against below average competition.

Hey, shouldn't this thread be closed just based on the source? :p

I wouldn't mind getting Diarra, Alou or Mahamadou, eithere one would be fine, though I prefer Mavuba. Also, 10mil pounds(15m Euro) is a little steep, don't you think?

@tonykart, I think that there is a misunderstanding here. When I said I'm sure about him, I mean I'm sure about my opinion regarding him which differs from yours. Just check mine above. :smoke:

i must admit i have never seen him play. I heard he was great for lyon, even better than essien, but at madrid he has been absolutely dreadful, is that accurate?

In think Real paid about 22-25mil pounds for him this summer.. but yes a little steep in my opinion. We can offer them Legro and Boumsong :eyebrows:

He can't even be compared to Essien. Essien is all a coach does need in the centre midfield; absolute power and quickness, a true ball winner, shares in attacking as well as defending, has heavy leg and always motivated.
