why wouldn't they recruit the jailer?

I already thought about this while I was dead.

If they recruited ALC, they'd have jailed Matt and whacked Snobist, with ALC (the recruited G) being lynched. That way there were gonna be 10 Cs and 3 Gs left, but there would have been a pretty strong C team of 5 confirmed Cs (Matt, Tomice the lawyer, the new jailer, Hoori and Gordo). These 5 would have found the remaining Gs.

If they didn't recruit ALC and recruited someone else (they were fishing for the lawyer, maybe) they wouldn't have killed Snobist, but 2 civilians would have died that night and the result was gonna be 9:4, with only Snobist and Matt as confirmed Cs. The lawyer, the new jailer, Hoori and Gordo were all potential recruits.

It was even smarter not to recruit ALC.

But I don't know if the G group played this or they were simply complete amateurs who saw that ALC is getting votes and decided to recruit someone else, or not to recruit anyone yesterday.
