We have been playing with the exact same format ever since I joined this forum almost 10 years ago. :D

Anyway, given that there is a recruiter, do you still think a no-lynch strategy is the right way to go?
Yeah I usually dont like it but no lynch strat makes sense for the first day.

And I was the one who introduced mafia to this forum, but havent played here in a while (dont necessarily have to have same set up every game). Played a XT mafia game last week, and there was no recruiter, so kinda forgot this one had that.

makes sense for the g’s sure.
You usually don’t like it because usually you are a C. Something different this time?

Third time.
No I dont usually like it because it makes for an inactive day without little to go on for 2nd day. But its safer then the alternative of blind lynching on nothing first day. Especially in small game where every C matters more.

But hey, if you have thoughts on it, please share, what should be done?

We are 12 people playing.
Right now we're 9 Cs and 3 Gs. Every civilian has a 27% chance to vote for a G and 73% chance to vote for a C.
If the Cs don't lynch a G tonight and when the Gs whack one of the Cs, there will be 7 Cs and 3 Gs. After recruiting it becomes 6vs4 and tomorrow night it could be game over.

I also think that no lynch makes sense for today. Once the Gs whack a C it's gonna be 8 vs 3 (7 vs 4 after recruiting) and it gives the Cs (and the D) at least one more day to find the Gs.

No lynch

if you’re a G, who do you recruit?

They don’t seem to agree with each other, but maybe they are conspiring behind the scenes.

Im really torn.
On one hand I think we should vote for someone who is inactive, because they are useless, but the auto lynch will take care of that. On the other hand, many G’s often to over compensate by posting too much.

How else are we going to find Gs if not by lynching? As we determined the D can't trust anyone to be an intermediary. Even so it will take a minimum of two days (if he's lucky) before he can confirm one G and one C.

But what are you hoping to gain from that additional day? It will give the G's a free whack, and we won't get any information regarding the voting pattern. Or are you just banking on the detective investigating a G?

It's only 12 of us playing and that's the problem. If we lynch a C tonight and the D doesn't make a good investigation tonight, tomorrow it will likely be game over.

Can we make it a rule for this game that the Gs can't recruit in the first two days?

There are only 12 people playing and if they recruit someone today or tomorrow, the game could be over in 2 days.
