As i proposed Osman is a good candidate cause he won't be whacked.
I probably wouldn't investigate Voller, Alen or Klin cause if they are Cs there is a high chance they get whacked / recruited.

Imo the detective should not be taking suggestions from the group since there will be misdirections. The detective should stick to his gut.
