Why does it look like we need more to sell Vlahovic than Chelsea need Lukaku to get off their books.

Lukaku salary is 13m in Chelsea, right? I dont think there is much choice for him to move. And he also excluded from pre season by Poch. So they are the one need to move him

While Vlahovic have less salary (8m net) and still young and recovering from pulbagia problem. Yes, we need to gain funds but we can get it from others. Getting 50m from Vlahovic while getting Lukaku for 40m and give him higher salary will get us in worse position.

If the problem is getting ST who score goals. I dont see Lukaku is better now. And how about being more creative, instead focus on the issue for ST. How about Winger/AM/SS that creates opportunity, space, service for the striker

I often think that players who burst onto the scene early don't age that great by 30. Not all but many, maybe wear and tear? He's a massive tank so was never going to age well.

however with Lukaku it's probably the wear and tear from playing professionally since he was 16 + lack of discipline. if you look at him under Conte, how fit and mobile he was, it becomes obvious how much out of shape he was in Manchester, Chelsea and under Inzaghi. don't get me wrong, the guy isn't fat and the extra weight is still mostly muscle, but he was much leaner and could do a lot more under Conte.

he's been playing competitive pro-footie for 14 years, its bound to have it's effects. he played regularly for Anderlecht since he turned 16 and went to play regularly in EPL by age 19. age and conditioning is one thing, but career length is important too. Drogba retired when he was 40 or close to it and he only has a couple of seasons worth more matches than Lukaku at 30 yo. if you take out the French 2nd league and MLS experiences Drogba at 37 actually has less games and minutes played than Lukaku at 30.

Maybe. He has never complained about it though. And as long as he's as overweight as he is, it's impossible to know if his body can still cope. To me it doesn't really matter though, because this situation has been going on for years now. Lukaku has done nothing to get his weight back to a competitive number so I doubt he'll do it now. I don't think he'll ever be fit enough to be a focal point for a top team. Whether that's because he let himself go or because his body's breaking down doesn't matter.
