I know fans like to convince themselves of their importance but I don't think this broke any deal.

Giuntoli said over a month ago that they were betting on the strikers they had and he wasn't concerned of the fans protests against Lukaku as they were against something that doesn't exist at that time.

Allegri was equally diplomatic and said he was happy with his squad (as he has repeated many times recently), but that large offers were not to be ignored. And tbh that's the financial reality of our situation, if Chelsea had offered us big money plus Lukaku for Vlahovic we'd have probably taken it.

In between all this we get daily force-fed guesswork from social media clowns for weeks on end, when Lukaku is only a player we've shown interest in.
