i wouldn't say he is meh (Giovinco) stats speaks for itself that he is our joint top goalscorer i just don't think he fits into our system, maybe he just needs more time to adapt i don't know or whether he is simply incompatible with Vucinic. I do think he tries too hard at times and puts pressure on himself doing so, if he can just do the simple things right and build on that he can be of more use. I am still annoyed like with many Juve fans here the price we paid to bring him back but we have to remember that's not his fault but Gio needs to start helping himself now with the belief Conte still has in him

I would not swap Giovinco for Muriel.

I like Muriel, but only if we can get him at the right price.

But I rather us get Jojo or Sanchez.

Muriel shouldn't even be an alternative to Jojo, Sanchez, Suarez etc...
:agree:
That's the only case we should go for him.
If it means we give up on Suarez/Jojo/Sanchez and settle for the cheaper option with Muriel, then hell no.
As an option for the future why not.

Yes. Our joint top scorer so far this season. Sure.

Ok.
I wasn't really serious, but Giovinco scoring 11 goals in 30+ matches is not the reason why it's a bad idea and neither is scoring the same as some average strikers like Matri, Quagliarella or even Vučinić.

@Hustini Dzeko @ 1? :howler:

As for Muriel, 14 million can be lowered by including the co-ownership of guys like Immobile, Gabbiadini, etc... In a sense that would bring down the cash component to around 8-9 million, which is fine, as long as we are looking at him as an option/potential future star, and not the main signing for the SS position. Let's remember that Muriel is only 21, some 5 years younger than our own midget who hasn't really been setting the world on fire.

Yeah off course.. But we all know the last two summers with Agüero, van Persie etc.
We always ended up with the 2nd best option..
But I think this summer, we could finally get a >20 million striker...
There are no more excuses not to sign a big name forward, hence why if marotta fails to deliver this summer then he will never deliver

Muriel is fucking shite. €14M for him would be a disaster.

Muriel has hardly set the world on fire himself for someone who is 21 and is supposedly full of promise, can you seriously say he has had the same effect as someone like Pogba has had in the league this season? no

As for Giovinco he is still our joint top goalscorer so you can't really ask for anything more from him in the goals department.
