This only one year automatic renewal kind of indicates that a loan is more likely out of question and that we are at a point where we either start to immediately give him chances to integrate and play in the first team to get him to renew for more years or we might even end up being forced to try selling him by winter to avoid losing him for free next summer.

Isn’t he more of a midfielder/CAM type where he is most efficient? Think he could find space in that role, but the fact he’s on his last year of contract and not yet eager to extend for longer will probably count too, if Motta does believe in him he’ll likely get many minutes this season otherwise even a sell can’t really be ruled out.

He did actually renew for a one more year this summer, but it was just an automatic renewal clause that we triggered because otherwise he’d already be a free agent by now.

I think it’s about him not yet getting any guarantees regarding playing time despite feeling ready to step up.

Hasa being listed as a forward on the team sheet for Germany is interesting. Because if he can show something he can be a legit option on the wing. He’s got some Insigne in him, and Motta prefers technical players as it is. Would be one less winger they’d have to go and get if/when they sell Soule and Chiesa.

I dont blame him one bit. He's going to be 21 this season and he's stuck in NextGen. He's a mediocre talent and has no future here. He's so mediocre that even with Juve freezing out 50% of the squad, he still cant get in it.

Although now that I think about it, he's probably frozen out too. No chance they let him around the team while in negotiations. That's not the "Juve way."

But hey, let's try to make Juve the poor victim here and act like Chiesa's agent is somehow screwing the club again. How dare he not extend his expiring contract so Juve can try to loan him and maybe sell him next summer, or just keep him in NextGen for another season. That would definitely be what's best for his client.

Just a year ago he became European Champions with Italy U19 and player of the tournament, I think that we did a horrible job not giving him any chance. If that wasn’t enough to earn some minutes I don’t know what else, I’d complain too

He didn't do himself any favours versus Nuremberg. That's the only time I've watched him play & instantly thought he needs to bulk up or get way stronger to cut it.
