Showed again, he hasn't lost the players. Might not be enough. If we play (not defend) like that every week we'll be ok.

Or just sack everyone and try again. Both are good.
That's the thing, we won't play like that every week. Palermo got their goals and sat back, could have scored more, actually. Maybe DN hasn't lost the players, but he clearly has lost the ability to inspire confidence in the team. Notice I did not mention manage the team... he's never really had the ability to do that. Some of his decisions today are just more evidence of his ability as a manager.

We'll be OK if we defend better, sure. But that "OK" means a place out of the Champions League. We need to be straight with ourselves and acknowledge that DN won't get us anywhere.

On a more serious note, what's with those subs, he made almost the same mistake against Udinese, even bigger now. He totally killed our game, no matter how bad Aquilani is, he is more useful than Sissoko. If he at least tried to put Marchisio as a CM and Martinez on the left, it doesn't matter if you lose by one or two goal margin, we could at least got 1 point and prevent Palermo to overtake us.

And I would definitely play Salihamidzic more...

We had some really positive signs because we had Matri in our side," the tactician said to Tuttomercatoweb. "He had cramp, otherwise he would have played the entire 90 minutes.

"I don't know what happened with the referee. Either he didn't see it [the penalty], or he didn't want to award it. There were some crazy decisions, and the penalty not awarded was only one of them.

"We want to be respected. We don't expect every penalty to be given to us, but when something is evident, one cannot say that he did not see it.

"We will continue to work hard, but I think we are missing something at the moment," he concluded.

Tell me about it. When the team is losing, playing well, attacks, but can't score, you either keep the same players or you add an extra attacker. This idiot completely killed our momentum and he made more defensive subs (Sissoko is more defensive than Aquilani and Matri is a pure striker, unlike Martinez).
Mourinho isn't crazy to put 10 attackers if needed and play on all or nothing. He knows that losing by 1 or by 2 won't make a difference when it's already minute 70 and you need goals.
But that's why he's Mourinho and Asterix will always remember winning the 4th place in a weak serie A as his greatest success ever.

Yea I dont get the concept of subbing a defensive player with pretty much no offensive ability for a player who is a creative midfielder. He keeps making this particular sub and its starting to piss me off but I dont understand even more is subbing a player who hasnt created nothing all season for a player(Matri) who actually had 3 goal scoring chances. Yes he missed em but he was in the right position to help create that chance something we havent had since quag so I dont get why Martinez went in. Awful subs awful tactics and the fact your a professional coach and you dont know whats missing from your team just makes me think how you got this job.

Aquilani was awful and getting worse and Matri had cramp, maybe those things came into play, just a guess.

Aquilani is always and will always be a better option then Sissoko plan and simple. You cant sit there and tell me sissoko will do something better then aquilani and I must of missed Matri get cramped up but thats fine then cause we dont need him hurt aswell.
