Who would you have preferred, Andy?

As sad as it sounds, I would have preferred Prandelli or Spalletti, even though I'm not convinced of either. They have always been better than Del Neri. I don't know why this is up for discussion, I'd take a lot of managers over this guy.

DP is not 25 years old any more! He was clearly tiring and we needed to shake things up to try and get a goal and with 1 sub left at least Del Neri decided to make the change sooner than later. I'm not defending Del Neri's tactics tonight, just this sub.

He wasn't clearly tired. He was our most dangerous and creative player. Krasic looked more tired than DP. Also, in the second half with the change of formation, DP had a big, gaping hole to play with all the space he wanted and he was causing loads of problems.

If we had gotten Prandelli, we'd probably be complaining about him building the team around Montolivo right now.

The main criticism of Spalletti is that Roma conceded a lot of goals while he was there but that's only really true in his last season with them. Before that he did quite well. I'd imagine he's being paid a lot more by the Russians than he would've gotten from Juve though.

Juve played much worse against Palermo last year and only lost 2-0 both games.

This game was strange, anything Palermo did resulted in a goal - Storari was a joke

You think that bringing on two forwards who are lacking match fitness (at half), playing one of them out of position (IQ wide, is never good), changing the formation prematurely (while we had some incompatible players out there for the 4-2-3-1, namely ADP and IQ), taking Ale off to play Aquilani wide, etc., equals all the right moves?

Agree here, his substitution timing and selection is questionable on that one.. Put IQ on the wing and played both our big forwards (IQ and Amauri) who just get back from injury.. It's either IQ or Amauri to play on start 2nd half replace one of Quag or Pepe if he want to add aerial threat in Palermo box and then look at the condition before make another subs

But at least i still positive sign about our attitude to attack and won't judge DN from this.
