You think that bringing on two forwards who are lacking match fitness (at half), playing one of them out of position (IQ wide, is never good), changing the formation prematurely (while we had some incompatible players out there for the 4-2-3-1, namely ADP and IQ), taking Ale off to play Aquilani wide, etc., equals all the right moves?

we made loads of chances, and like it or not, Amauri and Iaquinta were a threat up-front.

oh and by the way, we also scored a goal.

We didn't play well, man. There was plenty not to like, but keep on keeping on with the diatribe, if that's what helps you get through this rough period.



As for the "by the way, we also scored a goal", c'mon. Put that shit into context.

We scored a goal at the end of the game, at home, while losing 3-0... Palermo had a bit of a concentration lapse, that shit happens ALL the time in ALL sports. The game was already over.

Edit: and by the way, when IQ scored, we were playing our 4-4-2 again and he wasn't playing wide.

we certainly did not play badly.

we looked a little listless going FW in the first half, but second half was a very different story, created a lot of chances...Krasic could have had a brace, even Amauri went close.

Well lets agree that we disagree on our caliber of play. IMO, we certainly didn't deserve to win this game.

Naturally we played poorly at the back, and with the players we have, this is going to be the case for a little while. Obviously, man.

Those guys had their best chances after we reverted to the 4-4-2. I really have no problem with Amauri and Iaquinta up top at that time - even if they don't compliment each other - but I disagree with introducing them both at half, the formation change, etc.
