“I repeat, I am playing with a central striker and one that plays behind him or with two high strikers, not two deep ones. These are my ideas and I am trying to inculcate them into the players.”[/B]
There is so much wrong in what he said here.

Del Neri = 1
Players = +25
25>1

"I am playing".
No, you are not playing. The players are playing and you need to find the best possible formation for the players at your disposal instead of sticking to the only formation you know.

Really, did his formation bring him glory or trophies? Why stubbornly stick to it then? If it's the best one that suits the players then keep it, if it's not then do not force it on Diego or Del Piero or others who are better players than the coach that you are or ever will be.

The man only knows one formation and gets a job to coach a team like Juve
That`s just such a dumb comment...........would you rather us play in one solid formation rather than switching every damn game like last yr??

Del Neri`s got his priorities right, he knows what style he wants his team playing in, player roles e.t.c. In saying Dp and Diego cannot play together he`s probably right, cause if that happens we`ll either miss a target man, or get clipped on the wings like last year.

He says Iaquinta and Diego play the same position, which is obviously not the case. Yak plays further up the pitch.

Some of these comments are frankly worrying. He doesn't seem to understand how to use the players correctly. I mean, it is Del Neri after all, so I wasn't expecting much from him. But at least understand what positions these guys play FFS.
That just means the Trez/Amauri are the ST and Diego/DP are the SS ...and Yak is on his way out :p

For the first time after 2 years we actually have a coach.

Bad coach, but better than those who were here, doing absolutely nothing.
How did you conclude that?
We had pretty good pre-season last year, playing great, beating Real Madrid and Sevilla and Diego was the best, assisting and scoring some sweet goals (he scored one brilliant goal when he rolled the ball for a couple of seconds and then placed it).
We even started the season the same way and then we crushed.

Actually I wasn't talking strictly about Diego and I do think Del Neri is better than Ferrara and Zac. No idea who said it but it was mentioned that Diego has never been this impressive on trainings.

But still, I think I'll have balls to say this - Del Neri will disappoint and he will be our worst signing this season. It's just my prediction.

I think we'll play like we today in the first half and our results will be terrible. I hope he proves me wrong, but I doubt he will.

I think 1 > 25

At least it appears we have a coach that does not take any bullshit.

I wont judge him just yet. Will wait until we are half way through. Our new coach works wonders for about 10 games, then the magic is gone. This is when we wake up from the dream and start hitting the walls.

I see nothing wrong about his statement to be honest. Diego as an SS is something that i've been calling for ever since the start of last season, was a huge mistake to play him as a playmaker .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Delneri said that he wants to play using something like this:
striker
DP
LM-CM-Marchisio-RM
LB-Chiellini-CB-RB

As much as I love Alex, I think he would be better used off the bench for most of this season. Has Delneri said anything about Diego playing a center midfield position? Because this would be the only viable reason not to let him play in his AMC/SS position.
