Lucio has been an overrated player for quite some time, perhaps one of the worst media darlings on the back line I have ever seen. He's not a great man marker, nor are his tackles on the same page as Chiellini's. For free he's fine, but stop overrating him, it's irritating as hell and demonstrates a lack of Bundesliga knowledge.

I've never rated Lucio.

He is a player who barely managed to look good when he was very mobile and as he loses that speed his lack of intelligence will become more and more apparent.

I don't think anyone here is making him out to be more than he is. He is a backup at this point, and a solid player.

At best, the first choice backup if Chiellini stays on the left, and at worst, the second choice behind bonucci.

But, in my opinion, what this does is it gives Juve a capable backup free of cost, on a decent wage, with minimal years.

He's a spot starter, at best. A good backup, most likely. For the price, considering what it may have taken to get Alves, I'm not upset about it. Now, it's time for those funds to be channeled towards the attack.

Decent signing, nothing more. Was a beastly CB a few years ago, wasn't at his best last season.

Still fairly error prone and quite slow and immobile. Decent back up, though. At least he's coming for free.

Folks, would you rather spend €9-11 mill on Bruno Alves as backup CB, and spend less money on attackers, or sign Lucio for free and save the money for an attacker?

Although I wish it was Samuel, Lucio has the experience we need. He won the world cup, and the Champions League + it annoys Interisti as fuck.

Give him a chance, how much can it hurt?

The hilarious thing is Interisti saying "Grazie Lucio" after Inter released him, couple of hours later: "VAFFANCULO LUCIO"

well now it comes down to marotta. if we fail to get someone like dzeko or higuain, and to a lesser extent the massively overrated cavani then the mercato in general would have been disappointing despite the great deals on asamoah and isla as we are back to square one.

and guys like jovtic and gaston despite the skill they would bring would still fix nothing.
