I'd like him to remain alongside Paratici, we shouldn't replace them.
Of course not.
We absolutely need to think long term for once.

Last season, things turned to shit & we panicked. Secco & the likes had to make way. Personally, I wasn't calling for his/their head(s), but I was okay with the decision.
We completely changed our strategy (or "project", if you will) & brought Marotta & his posse. Now, I am far from impressed with the majority of what has happened, but the decision has been made, so we should stick with it. For now, at least.

Edit - clarification: the "sticking with them" part does not include the coach, even if I would not necessarily fire him right now.

Marotta, couldn't he fullfill Blanc's position and Sabatini becoming our SD? I dont know what a GM does though, but the stadium is finished?

For example?

And yeah, I don't think Deschamps (my choice) would join us now, we have to look at the summer for him, which I think would be the best choice. I think I'd go with him even if Delneri makes it to the CL, unless there is a remarkable improvement in the team.

* The Trez situation.
* Throwing your own strategy (younger, cheaper players) overboard.
* Multiple panic buys (some of them have turned out all right though).
* The incoming loan deals (not against it, but there's just too much of them).
* Wrong priorities.

2) They did? I think it's linked to number 3 because of the necessity to bring in cheap options regardless of age (Amauri form and Iaquinta/Quagliarella injury situations).

yeah, without money and with all striker injured, there were plenty of alternatives to getting toni barzagli and matri :sergio:

That doesn't really bother me.
It sure does botter me, we play a handicaped 442 and aren't even forced to it. Marchisio clearly isn't a winger.
But then again, the man doesn't believe in rotation. Why not rotate between Aquilani and Marchisio?

I just found Spalletti's winning statistic with AS Roma
2008/2009: 47%
2007/2008: 63%
2006/2007: 58%
2005:2006: 50%

Delneri's: 42%

Yes, they did. I agreed with Marotta's general strategy, but if you're not going to keep it, then why even bother?

How many times have we heard the same thing? "There's a lack of funds & we are trying to cut costs & the average age of the team." Fair enough, out with Trez (not really cutting costs anyway, but okay), Zebina, ...
And then you bring in Toni & Barzagli (well paid players I might add) for essentially back up roles. How does this not create the exact same problem you were trying to fix in the 1st place? That's a complete lack of consistency, and as far as I'm concerned, there are really no excuses. Now, I would have understood (not agreed, mind you) it if we actually got older players who would have been a massive upgrade over what we had. But we didn't.

Would it really have been such a disaster to let Legro finish the season & then (or in the meantime) look for a replacement? Could the little time you have in January not have been used to focus on our priorities? Because, from the looks of it, we just wasted time & made random moves.

I also don't think there was any need to bring in 2 new attackers, one would have been just fine. And if you really need another one to fill out the squad, use some youngster for 1 or 2 games. It's not like we're competing in multiple competitions anyway.

And what also bugs me is that these 2 panic moves have a major effect on next season as well. Unless of course we're able to offload them in some deal.

Anyway, I really am beginning to sound like a pessimist, and that can't be good. I remain hopeful though that the guys in charge haven't completely abandonded their original ideas & that what happened lately was just a minor bump in the road.

And now back on topic: Baldhead Slick for coach huh? :D

Don't talk to me if you think I'm dumb. There's always a possibility that it's contagious and, before you know it, you may become dumb as well.

But I should mention that I'm not a dark skinned, lazy South American bastard. So you really shouldn't have any problems with me.

Mourinho, Villas Boas, DD, Wenger, Ancelotti...

I'M afraid we'd see the depressed Spalletti face more often if he coaches us. Once he's in difficulty we're f*cked.
Too big dreams for this Juve.

If we can't get world class players, then I see no way for us to get world class coaches.

Not really. It's kinda different for coaches, they want the glamor & prestige with the challenge of restoring the pride of a sleeping giant. We just have to get our priorities in order & give the future coach more power in terms of decisions & we could get a great coach imo.

No way we can get Wenger, Mourinho or Ancelotti. I hope they prove me wrong though.
