Now I think I understand why you made the Paro - Fabregas comparison. You seem to think that this club is so magical it can turn any ordinary player into someone special just because of the greats we already have on the team. But in reality, even if a mediocre player would perform better with help around him, this sort of thinking is delusional.

In the end, talent wins out. Unfortunately we see that with Milan this season. In previous years their age weighed them down, and looks like we are taking a similar approach now with this Toni signing.
oh give the paro shit a rest, it has 0 relevance to Toni, just simply a cheap shot and clutching straws.

and yes Juve have on the most part have had a transfer policy of buying less than well known players, fortunately i was a fan when i witnessed the days of juglovic, ferrara, boksic, zidane, conte, tacchinardi, etc... dont be telling me they were world class or extraodrinary players, they too also came from provincial clubs and they went on to win win honours domestically and in europe. I'm not saying every fairly unknown player who has joined Juve have succeeded, namely the likes of baiocco, blasi and o'neil just to name a few, but we as fans can't be expecting a influx of quality straight away, it just proves how spoilt we have been over the years.

and correction, talent doesn't win, it is all about balance and determination, something we seem to have rediscovered up till now

When Bayern Munchen, Roma and even Genoa(!) end up letting him go, that should be a clear sign not to even go there.

Now that's something, will Toni's arrival suddenly make our midfield and defence grow 5-7 years older? Cause that's the only way I see us becoming retirement home, should I mention the term drama queen?

It might you never know. Actuallly it could make Melo more wise so maybe ourmidfield will be better!!! Retarded thinking if you look at the positions Milan were old in its not even close to ours. Strikers can be a little older if they play the way toni does but if you have 3 cms playing together all over the age of 30 you might start to struggle. Also outside backs need lotts of stamina

Marotta said we did need more experience, which is partly why he brought in Toni. Our players aren't exactly youthful. Learn how to read.

How some of you have conned yourselves into believing that Toni will get past what a mediocre player he is and rediscover the top form he hit briefly in the past is beyond me.

That's true, I guess. The players are in their prime. But we don't need more players Toni's age. We need to build for the future.
I totally agree but you cannot get prolific forwards in January asking them to bring you CL football, you fill in the gaps with players that can help you achieve a CL spot so you can build for the next term. Torres will not come now in hope that Juve will reach third spot, he might come next season when he sees that Juventus actually are in the CL.

I'd suggest you to learn how to read or at least remember what you've written. We are not even close to Milans age problems back then and one Toni signing won't change that. Out of 11 players in our perfect/utopical starting line-up I'd say 9 or 10 are in their prime years.

Sure. But I was hoping for someone a little better than Toni.

I never said we were there yet. Look back a few pages and check out the speculated group of forwards for next season. If that pans out, we'll have a pretty old strikeforce.
