that is a very narrow minded view on a player, a player shouldn't just be viewed by what they offer and how they perform, a player's performance is also heavily reliant on the players around him.
Now I think I understand why you made the Paro - Fabregas comparison. You seem to think that this club is so magical it can turn any ordinary player into someone special just because of the greats we already have on the team. But in reality, even if a mediocre player would perform better with help around him, this sort of thinking is delusional.
In the end, talent wins out. Unfortunately we see that with Milan this season. In previous years their age weighed them down, and looks like we are taking a similar approach now with this Toni signing.
Wait a minute, Toni is being compared now with Bin Laden too? I love this forum
That's not what was said. It was a hypothetical situation.
I'd understand it if he was a panic buy. We lost our topscorer and we needed a reaction asap so we brought a freebie. But it wasn't a panic buy, we planned to bring Toni even before Quag's injury and I wonder why did we have such a plan at all?
Right now the explanation could be that we planned to sell Iaquinta and Amauri, to buy a striker with the money (probably Pazzini) and to have Pazzini-Toni/Del Piero-Quag for our attack in June.
That seems like the most probable scenario. But I do think we'll keep Iaquinta on as another SS.
Maybe if we're lucky we will purchase someone like Neymar in the following season, but probably not. Looks like we already have our sights set on Piazon, which hopefully won't turn into another Dzeko situation.
Very uninspiring stuff.

i want to see g. rossi on pics like that not a old overrated Toni.
Congratulations. You just sold me on Luca Toni.
