OK let's get serious Cigarini will be great for us...first of all he is young, talented, Italien and potentialy a star for Italy (u throw Chiellini, Palla, Criscito and of course GIOVINCO in to a mix)...than we got again 5 to 6 national players...So i realy hope we get this guy...

I agree. Tottenham will likely allow him to be a starter... and he knows the English game. Great opportunity to salvage what he can. Juventus will let him rot, and ruin his career, since he is destroying their investment. Tough shit about Atletico, they aren't willing to meet Juve's price... Tottenham was. He's not exactly a world beater right now in high demand. He can kiss Euro 08 goodbye... Andrade has a better chance of getting in Portugal's squad than he does now.

Cigarini is what we need now though... Marchisio is hurt and may not be in top form for a while. Good managers would find a lot of use for both Cigarini and Marchisio long term... and if that's not Ranieri, well, his replacement would.

Time to stop being cheap and buy this guy, I would buy him regardless of Tiago.

No reason why we shouldn't buy Cigarini. There is no player in our squad that's like him.

Sounds like we can give up this ghost for now anyway... Gigli, the head moron, has already come out and said our mercato is closed. Since unlike Moggi, these idiots tell the press the truth, we can assume we're done.

So, now in June we can expect to sell Tiago for a lot less, and if we can even get Cigarini, pay a lot more for him. This is a pathetic joke.

I wouldn't take anything Gigli says seriously. He said we wouldn't be getting anyone this transfer window and we ended up with a huge crises. That said, Cigarini is apparently valued at 20 million euro's, that's freaking insane.

guys, ever seen marchisio and cigarini play? the play totally different. cigarini is a classical defensive playmaker a la pirlo, marchisio is a midfielder with abilities in offense too, like fabregas.

NO ONE will buy Cigarini for 20m. Not even Parma think that, they just mean they wont sell him now, he will go for much lower, he is just a good but highly unproven talent (we loan out unproven talents, not sign them for 20m), there are player 4 times better then him who cost 20m (we can get VDV for less).


Funniest part is he is no better then our own Marchiso, not even by tiny bit, is not like he is super young (22-23 yo), hardly one single good reason to waste 20m when you can have similar quality for free in Marchiso.

Dont get me wrong, would like to have him as squad player and hopefully have a breakthrough, but not when its ANYWHERE near that figure.
