Cigarini would be excellent right now. His passing range adds some much needed depth to our midfield play. At least Ranieri coached him before, so the risk of buying another Almiron/Tiago is smaller.

I have a hard time beleiving Cigarini will actually join this january though.

i hate these rumours when players are supposed to come tomorrow or next week because when the day comes and i run out of bed to check the news, it's always friggin wrong.

Even if we were to buy Cigarini, Ranieri probably wouldn't even field him anyway. And don't say he would just because he did at Parma... that's a bullshit argument. Ranieri has gone completely pyscho since coming to Turin, talking shit about players to the press and playing horrid football, something he never did at Chelsea at least.

Cigarini is a promising player, but until he proves otherwise by showing he is a special player or such, he isnt really a starter material for Juve based on what he has shown so far (not really the right now upgrade we need). He has been decent, ok in Parma. Not stunning or that excellent. He would be good squad player and a future signing. But not really much more so far. And we have Marchiso too who similar is (in acheivement in their careers so far and position, but I prefer Marchiso slightly), so he isnt really a must in that regard except add to the numbers.

But you cannot deny Cigarini would help our distribution now and would be the perfect "quarterback" to sit next to the destroyer Nocerino and CM Marchisio in the future.

I blame the managment. I think they are frustrating him as much as they are doing it to us.

At the present, its still unsure because he is really unproven as a starter for a top team. He has talent and is a creator, but until he proves otherwise, same with Marchiso, he has only so far shown enough to be considered a squad player and a player for the future. Not one to immediately improve us.

He would help the distribution because he is a creator, but to what level is any ones guess because is just still young and shown very little, unsure what impact he would have as a starter, as said really not done much in Parma (if one expects too much too soon, they might discard him like Criscito, or bench him like Palla if he doesnt do much, too much hype is never good). Its generally so with young talents, unless they show extreme promise. Like its with Giovinco. Who IMO I'm sure has the qualities to improve us and eventually be a starter, because he shows heaps of skills and essential X-factor, still unproven, but not many unproven youths show that much, or enough to make you trust their abilities.

We need future class players and young talents, and I rather we sign him before Inter does. The future Pirlo as he is labled, but he is labled the FUTURE Pirlo for a reason, not currently one to make an impact unless he suprises, but a promising one for the future. Which is good to have, but what we need is players who will start directly and make a the necessary impact to lift us as a team, back to title glory, or competently contend for them atleast.

I think it would be a very good idea to do both. Marchisio isn't a permanent fixture in Empoli's starting 11 anyway, and since it appears Ranieri has no faith in Almiron or Tiago (but showed a lot of faith to Cigarini)... a couple midfielders to supplant Zanetti and/or Nocerino as needed might not be the worst thing.

marchisio is on the way back to turin (see budan to empoli)but its not sure what will happen with him. its possible that he will go to udinese in a deal that could bring felipe to us. but it seems that this would be only the first deal. We are interested (serious)to quagliarella and inler. Probable that palla will go to udinese too. but perhaps only in summer. so marchisio+palla and money for felipe/zapata+quagliarella+inler.
