They usually make a point with stuff like that. They didn't this time though, which makes me thing that it might be a blooper. Then there's the point you bring up right now; it's just not explained right or something.

Also, regarding the flash-forwards. Could it be that the outcomes can be altered based on the decisions they make on the island? In other words could it be that that's how it's going to be unless they do something different...now. Hope that makes sense.
Locke would normally have died. He didn't because he didn't have a kidney there because his dad stole his kidney. I guess benjamin didn't know this.

i think we are all missing the answer to teh biggest mystery on the island-

why is it that Juliet's face is frozen in one expression?it never changes?shock-the same, desire-the same,stress-the same. did she have a stroke and has parylised facial muscles? did the others stick her face in to carbonite on arrival at the island? is she a robot sent by Jacob to kep an eye on everyone?

Oh it's not just me then. I hate her face; it's always the same. I want to slap the shit out of her every time I see her.

Dude that aint jacob that is Jack's father. That's not even jacob's cabin. Remember Jacob's cabin was way way up the hill from the others camp and this cabin was closer to the beach

Yep that certainly is Jack's father and it is not the first time he appears in this island!
I m not sure about this cabin not being the Jacob's cabin though, the expression in the faces of Locke and Ben says that Hurley found smth, he shouldnt...

My wild speculations:
-There could be more than one Jacob's cabins:p
or one that appears in several places (magically:pumpkin: )
-Jack's father, Locke's father, Eko's brother and the rest of the reanimated dead people, are in fact morphs of the security system (aka mysterious black smoke:rndh: ) that probably helps Jacob to control the island...

...and to think that at one time the whole generation jacked off on her lesbian scene with Angelina Jolie.

I don't buy that. Poor move by the writers. Benjamin knows the names of all the polyps in Locke's rectum. How could he not know about which of his kidneys is missing!

I hope Desmond got off the island he is my favorite Character. I still don't get why Locke doesn't just start torturing Ben until he tells him absolutely everything about the island. The very first thing i would do after capturing Ben is interrogate him for days. What the hell was that polar bear with the Darma corp tag doing in Tunisia? I now think that the Island must not be a reachable location it must be another dimension with portals to it or something.

That Desmond guy is an interesting character. It's getting pretty sci-fi, but it was done quite well and showed there's more to the script.

I honestly thought they would toss us eight episodes of crap and say "goodnight". I have been pleasantly surprised.
