have you considered the idea that it may sound stupid to you, but makes perfect sense to us??
and have you considered the idea that what you say makes perfect sense people are twisting around (arguably) and using it as a justification for blowing up innocents,

Fred, religion can be an amazing thing when done right, again you turn to religion i used to turn to smoking, same thing. doing religion right means it just being a connection between you and the creator, sometimes involving a middle man. religion has been proven wrong on so many occasions that most of that most of the civilized world has given up on it. and what happened once they stopped using it in public policy? well, turns out everyone won, except the fanatics. people practice their own religion and no one bothers no one.

i am trying to get across a point here, religion is no substitute for science, be that the hard/exact or social variety. because when science is done right it is the biggest weapon available towards achieving truth. and while people take advantage and obviously we don't have all the truth, it's still miles better than belief. they both have their place, truth governs interactions between people and belief, when it harms no one may govern interaction within a person.

you can't read your own posts?
I was talking about the first person to use the term "Islamic Country".
thats true as long as it doesnt harm other people.

Thats an ignorant statement to make, and you are in no position to make it. Have you been to the UAE? Well i've lived in Scotland, your ready to bet i like it more there than here??
If you don't it's because it allows too much cool stuff and you need to go back to where you are used to, like a life-long criminal likes to go back to prison because he or she is institutionalized.

A question for people over there...

Today, I was offered a visa to Al-Ain to discuss an offer over there. Knowing that I get around 7500 dirhams here monthly right now, what is the least residence allowance that I should ask for in Al-Ain to have a good place to live at??

I'm willing to ask for 15000 dirhams in addition to the residence allowance. Is it good?

Thanks

7,5 (if you're single) is more than enough to live in Al Ain....you can get a very good 3 BR. villa here for 30-50,000 dirhams...we have Pakistani pilots and UAE University professors who get an average of 15k salary and a rent cap of 100,000 dirhams....and with that kind of allowance you can get the local-style spacious duplex villas

Thanks, man... Appreciated.

So, I understand it's much cheaper than Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

I'll be over there on the last days of this month. Don't be amazed if I knock on your door:)

After hearing what happened with that British woman, I am not at all! I thought it was one of the best cities, countries of Arabs, but I am afraid it's as worse as Saudi Arabia..

Wow, a 3 BR for 30-50000 DHS, that's crazy, I live in Sharjah in a small studio with 32000 DHS rental... and I've been asking in Ajman these days and it's not cheaper.
