No, just because its contradictory. Its sort of like me supporting both the Republicans and the Democrats in the last election.....just doesn't make much sense to me.

But I'll end it here, don't want anybody to get "offended."
Thats politics buddy, not a past time for fat guys and socially unacceptable girls.

Andy, what exactly are you trying to do? Heysel was a tragedy caused mainly because of some extremely overzealous and violent Liverpool fans. that was a long time ago. do you think americans should avoid any association with Japan, because of Pearl Harbour? do you boycott Japanese products? I should hope not! and the Japanese did more to the US than Liverpool ever COULD do to Juve. that was real war, with their WHOLE nation putting tons of resources in to defeating us. Heysel was caused by a minute minority of Liverpool fans who were drunk and were caught up in a mob mentality. sure, it was horrible. but should it keep people from supporting both clubs? especially, as in my case, you only found out about the whole thing after you had started to support both teams.
so what are you trying to do? I don't think you will have any luck getting blandest or myself to change our opinions, so what is your point? is it just that-you are merely trying to make a point? are you trying to piss people off? because you certainly don't seem to be doing anything positive.

I heard there was a respectful relationship between Liv and Juve fans because of it.

I guess thats wrong tho when theres dumbasses like you on this planet. :howler:

Im sorry to laugh, but it just seems so funny to me that an american would hate an English team because of alliances to an Italian team. Its so fucking global :D

Its not like I go out and beat the shit out of Liverpool fans. I have respect for them, however it does not mean I have to like them. I also don't like Liverpool because of the Americans who played at Everton, Ms. Blandest.

So just because I'm American I have to like the EPL? I am one of the only soccer fans here that don't have their favorite team in England. I like the Italian game, its better football.

Hang on, you hold a grudge against Liverpool fans? Seriously? What do Liverpool fans today have to do with what happened 20 years ago?

I mean not liking the club, fine. But holding it against people that they like it, that I don't get.

And not attacking Andy, far from it, just trying to understand.

I don't have to like Juventus fans either. I don't have to like anyone . If there are some other naive Liverpool supporters out there (which I have seen), I'm not gonna like them. This does not mean I'm gonna "start something" or whatever.

Who cares if there is a story to "back this up." Like I said, I don't have to like anybody.

Milan-Barca match in DC at RFK stadium, 2003. Me wearing a Juve kit; guy walks by in a Liverpool shirt, obviously English, I hear him say to a some guy next to him "you want to finish up the Heysel job?" like he thinks I don't know our own history. Thats a fvcking naive Pool punk.
