The ammount of unchecked rumours popping out is overwhelming... More than half of them have no official sources and are based on assumptions made by the press.
This is the beauty of mercato, nice idea of opening this thread, as it will become really difficult to keep track of them at this point.
Yeah, the last few days of the window are always insane.

Some pure troll rumours flying about, also.

2 more days till the window closes, still stuck with Martinez, Pacienza, Iaquinta and Ziegler.
A mediocre attack till now, and LWB most likely no-one is coming at how things stand.

I think Berbs is a decent player, but def not a step up in quality for us. I still think Dzeko is going to be the player we eventually get. I might be wrong but I feel like we will make one last try.

16:23 - Dimitar Berbatov, through its Facebook page, has shed light on all the rumors and the rumors that are giving him very close to Juventus: "Please do not read the papers ... only lies and speculation at this time."

I remember Berbatov from his days in Leverkusen. The guy used to be awesome, great technique, vision, specialist of beautiful goals. He's 31 so he's not that old... On the other hand he hasn't played much for over a year now. I don't know what to think, I still keep my fingers crossed for Jovetic or Dzeko, other 'options' are meh.

I am ready to launch on ol' cock-in-his-eye if we don't land a top grade striker. Berbatov, Drogba are not top grade nor what we need.

There is some truth to that on a certain level

Word

anyone who thinks either of those 2 players would suffice in any regard is obviously just laying down and asking to get run over in Europe.

i think people are really underesitinamting berba as a player. he is quite good still.

the issue is that an attack of vuci-berba will be at some pints rage inducing because of their tendency to become lazy.
