I think losing Pirlo, Tevez and Vidal, 3 key guys on and off the field for this team was too much to overcome dispite some nice signings. Just too much change at once.

Losing tevez alone was going to be an uphill task to overcome. Losing Vidal without a proper replacement has been a dangerous wound to the team
