If Lippi returns we have a good chance of Buffon and Camoranesi staying. Also we should take shots at Cannavaro and Zambrotta. At least with Lippi back in the saddle we have the ability to use our managers great name as weight.

Lippi's list.
According to this article, Lippi has already made his wishes clear for the transfermarket:

- Buffon stays.

- In Defence, Barzagli is named. Zambrotta's return is not excluded. Boumsong will leave, Balzaretti's future is yet to be decided. Chiellini will stay.

- After the arivals of Mesto and Almiron, there are plans to bring big foreign names. Ribery and Lampard are possible targets.

- In attack Iaquinta will come, Bianchi is also a target. Trezeguet will be convinced to stay, if he decides otherwise, he could be swapped for Gilardino. Palladino will go on loan, with Zalayeta staying as 5th forward.

- Miccoli, Blasi and Tacchinardi will return, but their futures are yet to be decided.

The article goes on, that it's as good as certain that Lippi is coming to Juventus. It is only a question of when he comes. In case he decides to come aboard later, either Ferrara or Conte will serve as a 'ferryman' 'til Lippi returns.

I'm not sure how reliable all of this is though.

DD did a very good job for us and I didn't think he should have left. But, he did quit and for whatever reason he is in the past. We need to not focus on DD anymore, just thank him for a job well done. We will never know the true reason for him resigning. Everything we can think of is all just a conspiracy theory. Lets focus on getting Lippi back.
Wise words.

I hope he'll join us today before tomorrow, but still there are some top coaches out there.

By the way, congratulations for your post no. 7000, Kosova.

If Lippi return, the ban on Moggi & co would be lifted as well.

Wohoo, slow down a bit, everyone here wants the 2003 squad to be reunited , but face it this is not going to happen. Non of those players in not getting any younger , my friend, we need new kids , new tactics and formations , new sponsors , new stadium ... looking in the past would do no good.

Totally right.

But I know why he chose only Zambrotta and cannavaro to come back. They are his favorite type of mercenaries, "Italian mercenaries"...

We dont need the 2003 squad.. nobody said that..
What we need is a coach that will make the stars at our club stay and new stars join!!.. (omg I have been saying this in every post the last 3 days :pumpkin: )
And with that we will have a big chance of ending in top 4..!

We dont have time to get a coach that is young and get experience here at Juve.. You dont get experience with a club like Juve.. You join Juve to WIN with Juve.. NOT learn how to become a great coach and get more experience..!

Conte, Vialli and other can coach Serie B clubs for 5 years, then 5 more years with a mid tabel Serie A club, and after that, they might have a chance here!..
Atleast this is how I look at it, and im sure others agree with me!..
What ever we do, I hope that a coach like Lippi will join us, as a club director or coach.. If he is here as a director, then we might be okay with a coach like Conte or Vialli... But only if we have a man like Lippi telling them how to work!..

Love it. Lippi is the only manager I would follow blindly.

but teh typical Juve rule will apply....dont buy back players you sold! i dont see even Lippi goin back to buyin them back! like mentioned before, we gotta look to the future, and whoever comes has to create a new team with new players preferrably young to that we can train them in the ways of the Juve force and create another batch of Cannavaro's and Zambrotta's!

it's not necessary that we win everything that comes our way this season! we need to first settle down with the new team and coach and use the time to form a bond between the players!

Cannavaro is not too old, but close and Zambrotta will be 29. That is a ripe age in my opinion. Perfect.
