No Juve contact, says Lippi
Marcello Lippi has rubbished claims that he is all set to be named as the new Juventus boss. “They’ve not even asked me,” he noted.

The World Cup winning boss is said to be the club’s No 1 target after Didier Deschamps had his contract terminated by mutual consent on Saturday night.

Lippi was rumoured to be wanted as first team Coach or as a technical director, where he would supervise the work of a younger tactician such as Antonio Conte [of Arezzo] or Luca Vialli.

But Lippi, who has been on a sabbatical from the game since leading Italy to Germany 2006 glory, insists he’s not about to commit himself to the Old Lady for a third time.

“I have already said that I will not start working again for a few more months,” he told state television RAI.

“The latest stories are groundless. Especially as if the club want me then they would need to ask me directly…”

Juventus general director Jean-Claude Blanc was quoted as saying that the club had been in touch with Lippi, in which they had given him 10 days to think about their offer.

However, the Turin giants went to great lengths to dismiss the authenticity of the alleged quotes by posting a statement on their website late last night.

“Juventus wish to highlight the fact that Jean-Claude Blanc never released the statement on the club’s future Coach which was reported by the Press this evening,” it read.

Meanwhile, Juventus have announced that Giancarlo Corradini, who was Deschamps’ assistant, will sit on the bench for the last two matches of the season against Bari and Spezia.

Word.

I think we have a nice solution for those who are keen to see Lippi, Tacchinardi, Maresca,....

The forum can organize a fund-raising to buy a VCR for each one of those fans, in order to enable them to see as much as they want of their beloved icons in Juve.
I would love to see Tacchinardi play for juve again!!!! He is a fighter a true juventino!!

I really believe what Lippi has said, he's not coming back and that's it. Though out of all options mentioned so far, I hate the most the one where Conte or Ferrara should lead the team untill new year and then Lippi would take over, after he's all tanned and rested. That's simply unprofessional and completelly stupid. Screw Lippi, if he wants to rest he can rest, FFS, when are we gonna let him go? I don't know why people are so keen to see Tachinardi and Birindelli play again in our jersey. Because that's what's gonna happen, Juentus with Lippi is like an open book, his time with us is over and that's that. DD was our best option at this point in time and we blew it.
I'm just hoping we really aren't going to hire Conte, Viali or Ferrara, whatta ridiculous romour that is, I would really hate or board if they did this.

I think Lippi is just playin it cool, and IF Juve does come after him for real, he might be willing. There are so many coaches out there that could be used in Juve's revival but Lippi's name will attract class players the most.

I'm not stuck in the past, Im not a blind Lippi lover, but you gotta admit, His NAME and CREDENTIALS are attractive?

U want the likes of Diego, Huntelar, Barzagli and so forth? Well they might be more tempted to work with a World Cup winning coach.

But what if he dont? Lippi says they haven't asked him, it seems like the board dont have a clue about what to do right now... They have no backup plan and right now it looks like we'll end up with someone they can control..

lippis starting to annoy me with his comments about continuing his break, what kind of a coach wants to take over a team after the season has started?? i hope this is all just an act to make it seem as though he wasnt ready and waiting to take over from DD otherwise i think we should look elsewhere, we need some more certainty at this time and need someone who is willing to join in the next few weeks, not 3 months down the line.

i wouldnt mind seeing Trappatoni take a mentoring role and someone young and naive like vialli taking over as there are not really any other options for us at the moment, sven would be rubbish he has no emotional connection with anyone and he would probably try to shag the board members wives. Felix magath is unemployed and hes a pretty good manager, could be a possibility.

mourinho remains the dream though, maybe he'd want to follow lampard to turin? hope so

its funny that we, juve fans always keen on lippi everytime other coach had left.. just like man utd can't live without fergie.. juve can't live without lippi? think about it.. what if one day lippi really retired? we need to invest young coach starting from now.. conte, ferrara, gentile or maybe corradini will be my future for juve after the era of lippi.

MAN UTD = ALEX FERGUSON. JUVENTUS = MARCELLO LIPPI

a coach is not a Primavera player...u cannot "groom" a coach either he has it or he doesn't...what do u want to do send Ale to coaching class?

who knows lippi, mourinho in the first place? its the club that give them the chance.. imo, we need to give chance to younger coach.. for the sake of future..

i would rather see some1 reliable who can take us back to the top and THEN we can look for a young manager...Lippi/Mourinho/Eriksson would be my top choices

Blanc: Lippi can have any Juventus job he likes
Juventus chief Jean-Claude Blanc admits the club wants Marcello Lippi back for their Serie A return.
He said: "We want Lippi to return this summer - no matter what role he wants. Whatever he tells us to do, we'll do it to get him back here."

No obviously I don't want young and unproven coaches, but that's where DD was an exception. He took a average club to a CL final. That's what we need, new blood, a enthusiastic coach eager to prove himself at a club of our stature. Lippi is already one of the best and frankly his unwillingness to cut short his vacation tells me he's not motivated enough.

Surely his name and credentials, not to mention his knowledge, can do us a world of good but if he's unmotivated it's all for nothing. Frankly, the way things are he seems to me completelly unmotivated, not faking or acting but honestly not interested enough. Personally I can't blame him, I'd enjoy my success with no obligations as well.

That's why we need to focus and look somewhere else. Stop playing games with Lippi over the newspapers and look for a interested coach.

This was posted before three pages & denied before two pages...

Do we have to post the denial's link after each time this fake story is posted?

:agree:
The problem, that there isn't any good and realistic target in the market!!!
