2 gigs hardisk I presume? Well I wouldn't advise you to, since Ubuntu takes around 1.5 IIRC, you won't have any space for anymore apps...Maybe eeexubuntu, not sure, Ill get back home and check my eee pc first...

yeah the only thing i have been able to accomplish was switch to full mode. getting tired of following instructions from the wikis regarding repositories and what not that i just cant make them work

Damn Linux and XP. Whenever I connect any mass storage device via usb(camera, mp3, mem stick, etc.) it freezes my computer completelly. No Ctrl-Alt-Del or anything, manual reset required.

Works flawless in Vista.

What number is the lizzard at? It's the first, or second, distro I ever tried(suse 9.0) and I hated it with all my being. It looked polished but completelly complicated.

Martin, do you know of any distro that has Opera as the default browser? Whichever distro has it first is gonna be my distro for life.

Never!! Sabayon uses Portage which is by far the most superior package manager. RPM will always suck.

Looks pretty neat Jack, but doesn't that leave you with very little desktop space to work with? Judging by the placement of your 120GB media icon, I'm assuming the whole semi-opaque part stretching down from the top panel is, in fact, part of the panel.

It is a bit misleading, I moved the icon below that "pane". The desktop area stretches to the panel on top which is a tiny one. Think the shortcuts that are on it.
