Hold on, tiger. Windows and Mac support is expected in KDE 4.1. For now you can get experimental builds. Download the installer and it will set everything up:

UPDATE: KDE 4.0 crashes yessiree it does. I suspect it's because it can't stand me running kde3 applications along side the shiny 4.0. kopete4 also stopped working altogether. :confused2

But no pain, no gain. At least I'm not running FF3 so I can afford some unstability.
