Fast translation (from Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs):
"The fact of installing Linux OS is not, unfortunately, considered a crime under the Russian law. It just absolute evidence that a computer user is feared that someone else may find what is he really doing on the computer and hence he/she is trying to hide something. Such a user is considered to be a hacker, and should be registered, listed, checked upon periodically and also should be called for explanation talks. Having a Linux on computer is the same as having a pornography: while not being strictly forbidden to have and store on users' computer, its usage patterns such as production, distribution and child porn activities is forbidden by law and are definitely illegal".

Great. My CPU is literally dying in front of my own eyes and I just found out AMD has discontinued all Socket 939 CPU's and I'm basically left with no other option but to buy something from ebay, which I don't like at all, or buy a completelly new mobo + cpu.

Great, just great...and I bought this PC like 1.5 year ago.

Doesn't anyone sell them anymore? Just because they're not being made shouldn't put them completely off the market.

Since about 1 year they've been discontinued, new generation of CPU's is based on Socket AM2, so it's not like it happened yesterday.. I checked all of the tech-stores here and each and every AMD CPU is Socket AM2. Seriously, this is just my luck.

Yeah, surely there are plenty of places you can still get them. After all, as you said you only got it 1.5 years ago.

edit: Jack, you remind me of Sacha Baron Cohen.

I will. If I decide to get a new motherboard.

Well I'm sure if I lived in Western Europe, America, etc. I could easily find it but here I already checked the best places and no one is selling Socket 939 CPU's anymore. It's hard getting tech stuff here, there so little choices, you got 2,3 big stores and lots of little ones that get supplied by the big ones, so...

And yeah, Jack you like Cohen. :D

What do you mean by putting XP on the top of the list? Is that they way to make it default? I don't think that it would really matter. Anyways why dont you post ur menu.lst here?

@ Martin: I installed rTorrent, played around with it and googled a cheat sheet for that bad ass, however how could I fiddle with the settings as ports and such??

Have you've seen this.

But i'm not sure if your motherboard supports 64bit processors, cos you've mentioned that is 1 ½ year old PC.

i cant! i cant even load the Ubuntu partition even after reinstalling GRUB!

and i just cut the lines of code pertaining to the XP boot partition and pasted it before teh Ubuntu options, so that XP loads by default after waitin 10 secs!

Thats not really the way to make XP the default. Return back the XP stanza in its original place. The correct value that you should fiddle around with is "default".
