I bought a new computer last week myself, 320GB harddrive (after installation of Fedora, about 290 left) aaaaand this, the mother of all monitors:

20" widescreen, 1680x1050, 700:1. Jealous yet?

So glad I'm finally rid of my laptop with its 7GB harddrive and it's 12" screen. Had to suffer that thing for three years.
How about this one, I have been using this one for a year now...

Bes, open up a terminal and enter:

wine filename.exe

For example:

wine utorrent.exe

Also, make sure you've configured wine to be running in Windows XP compatibility mode. Have you run winecfg?

no, no i have not

for future reference, how do i enter a "copyright" c on the terminal? the program has that in the name
I'm not sure how to do that in the terminal, but in general you should get used to using TAB to auto-fill your terminal commands as much as possible. Thanks to auto-complete, I find that it's a lot faster to get places using the terminal than clicking on stupid icons with the mouse.
