I promised Martin a couple of years ago that I'd give Linux a try. I downloaded all 4 Fedora Core CDs and gave it a whirl, but my trial lasted all of about 30 minutes before I decided it wasn't for me :irritated
For some reason I found myself reading up on Linux once again, and even though I was meant to be asleep about 1.5 hours ago, I've spent that time doing some research, and I've decided to give it another go.
Part of my decision was due to the fact that my system's due for a reformat (if you can't tell already, I'm running Windows... for those who don't know, I'm a geek at heart, but I've been at home in Windows for about 15 of my 21 years of life. That said, I've never really been completely satisfied with it, rather making the most of what was available to me... in my head I knew that there was something better out there, but I couldn't be bothered making the switch. If I were to be honest with myself, I'd have to admit that I'm a born Linux user who doesn't use Linux

)
I don't have very much time on my hands at all these days (as you can tell from my embarassing lack of posts recently), but I'm downloading the Ubuntu ISO as we speak, and I'll definitely give it a whirl as soon as I find myself with a decent block of time to have a fiddle and a tinker.
Wish me luck
