not really. there are a few programs like Photo manager and TomBoy quick notes, but not too important to download it initially. 6.06 will do.

For the love of God, why Fedora? It sucks so much, I don't see where the big deal is with that distro, Ubuntu blows it out of the sky. Get Ubuntu ASAP especially if you wanna stable, customizable and most of all user friendly distro.

Or if you want REALLY user friendly download Mandriva One. *puts on flame shield*

Bah, It never did any good for me. I couldn't even set up my internet if I remember correctly.

Oh and the default icons are simply awful.


Edit: Fellas which KDE distro would you say is the fastest? I really love Kubuntu but performance wise it's really slow..

My laptop is performing like a charm with Kubuntu, I don't feel it slow at all.

What are the specs of your laptop?

On my PC: Athlon 64 3500+, 1.5gb ddr, 6600gt, it's kinda slowish compaired to XP(which basically flies) or Dreamlinux, which uses XFCE but still it was damn fast. Mandriva was faster as well.

The overall experience is just slow. It's not exactly me that made it up, it's a well known fact Ubuntu is considered a slower distro, geared towards friendly user experience rather than performance.
