All the jue geames i saw last season, he was exceptional in the right back. There is no doubt that he is one of the best.

The games that he did horrid errors can be count with one hand. I remember one serie a game when he did an error that ended in goal. And in the real-juve, in spain,, he looked nervous at the beggining, but in all the games he is an average supe player.

That would be Juventus Vs Roma at Delle alpi, his error resulted into ball reaching Totti who benefited from the situation to Assist Montella to score their Only Goal.

I really cant see Nesta being any better than Thuram, and altho Maldini and Nesta could be the worlds best defenders overall, Thuram had the best season of all of them, and should have been rewarded for it.

Very true.

Thuram is a guarantee in defending coresses, while Maldini, is not so good sometimes (world cup)

But like gosat said, maybe nesta and maldini are mor or less in level with thuram, but im very sure that he (thuram) had a better campaign than those 2

One of the best defenders to pass through juve imo.
When he retires he will be a legent, member of the winning Team of france, champion with juve, i think he has many caps with france. The man is a legent.

Besides, I think the reason Thuram didn't win the best defender award was all down to politics.

We had Nedved and Buffon as best midfielder, best keeper. Now if Thuram had won best defender, it would have looked as though the damn thing was rigged considering Juve didn't win the CL.

yep i agree with you that it was politics stuff. it is impossible to give to a team that didn't win CL best goalkeeper, midfilder MVP and defender, when to the winners you give nearly nothing

That's not exactly true. I mean, Thuram is better than Zanetti, and there are many better than Nesta...
