Although if you asked Geddaffi, he used to say he wasn't a Socialist, he called his economic and political theory, the third universal theory, which according to him solved the problems of Capitalism and Communism

There was virtually no functioning private sector, fuel and basic food supplies were heavily subsidized by the government, over 80% of the labor force was working for the government or government owned enterprises.

And what about that General Haftar, can he be trusted. Or just another ghadafi in the making ?
I assume you're asking about the political situation.
Well it's very complicated, in general there are two main parties of the conflict. One led by Hafter in the East, which is comprised of loose alliances of groups whose interests are aligned; many of them are from the former military, some are just people that are against Islamists, federalists who want the East to have more independence. Also allied with them are the powerful militia's from the city of Zintan which is in the West.
The other side of the conflict is a loose alliance of Misratans(which is probably militarily the strongest group in Libya right now), Zawiya and some areas of the Capital Tripoli.
The media sometimes try to portray it as an ideological conflict between Islamists(led by Misratans) and the Military(led by Haftar). I can tell you that all that is just for show, it's just two sides who are fighting for power and control over Libya's riches. Both have completely destroyed the Libya, and use similar tactics to those used by the Geddaffi regime. Unfortunately the revolution hasn't really changed anything in Libya other than whose in control.
Haftar is another Gedaffi in the making, but so are the leaders of the other side of the conflict. All of them are war criminals, and none of them can be trusted.
