Are you sure about these or Jazeera bullshit? I know Syria refused the no fly zone, and their answer could be convincing thou, even if it wasn't, it doesn't prove that they indeed sent weapons. I asked this for you, maybe you you know something for real, from someone inside. For me it is hard to believe, cause it is pointless and very stupid. It's not like Syrians are waiting Gaddafi to go so that they start the revolution, or if Gaddafi stays, Bashar will stay too, doesn't make sense to me. But like I said, if Syrians did that, it is very retarded..
They already caught three Syrians fighting for Gedaffi btw.

Eff this no fly zone. We'd better not end up getting involved in this mess too or lose a single pilot.

If Britian and France are going to push for this then they should enforce it themselves.

You clearly haven't been following this so closely. The US has been pushing for this to be a "UN thing rather than a "US" thing so that this doesn't come off as further US involvement in the Arab world. Also, nations that will actually participate in this as of now seem to be Canada, Denmark, and Gulf states while Italy looks to be the country that will be used as a base.

I know. And I am against the US being involved in the Middle East at all.

The less people we fuck with the better.

My bad.

If the EU is willing to step up then I'm all for it, I just don't want the US involved in more conflicts and I'm worried it could lead to that.

My sister's fiance came back from Iraq with severe PTSD and now that I'm 20 I don't want to see that happening to people I went to high school with.

Gas prices aren't worth the human cost.

I know what you mean Kyle but this is different. This is a legitimate cause and a just one. Gaddafi is slaughtering people...he must be stopped. Don't confuse this with Iraq & Afghanistan.

Is Gaddafi really killing more people than Saddam was or Kim Jong Il is responsible for? If you feel that US involvment in Libya is justified because of all the deaths Gaddafi has caused then how can you attack US involvement in Iraq so vigorously when Saddam is responsible for hundreds of thousands (if not millions dead when you include all of the Iraqi, Iranian, and Kuwaiti soldiers killed during Iraqi conflicts under his regime.) What about the conflict in Darfur too?

What if mass revolutions begin in Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iran or even China? All it would take is one of these countries, and we could see thousands of protesters slaughtered again.

If we take a stand against this then we have an obligation to intervene in all of these potential situations. The US is having an economic crisis and we are buried in debt. We can't focus on the world's problems right now.

Fuckers shouldn't have interfere, they will turn it into Iraq. I just hope Libyan people won't miss Kaddafi.
I hope your not serious here?

Fuck Gedaffi, i would love to see him getting hanged in live tv, brilliant watching that would make. People should be sure to spit on him before he gets hanged though, the fucking rat. Hiding behind tanks and warplanes against unarmed civilians isn't going to last long for the cowardly bitch, its going to end soon inshalla.

And this time its definitely not Iraq, for once, we actually welcome foreign intervention, so long as they keep their word and don't send troops on Libyan soil. But the no fly zone, and the militiary operations against Gedaffi's militiary bases, is only going to make the war between the people and Gedaffi more fair. The criminal is already scared shitless, you should have heard his last speech.

You should already know that foreign intervention will come with heavy price. It's not like they care about people. Your people are expendable for them. They can always rob everything you have and leave you with mess like they did in Iraq.

Like i said, they aren't actually sending troops on Libyan soil. So no its not like Iraq at all, i know they don't care about us, i'm not that naive, but we both have mutual interests here. Its in the Wests interest that this unrest in Libya stops, if it wasn't, they probably wouldn't have bothered at all.

Gedaffi's troops have reached Benghazi, they are bombarding the west of Benghazi with missiles and tanks, terrible scenes there, and thousands are taking their families and running East. We were optimistic about the security council's decision, but up till now we haven't seen anything tangible. I fear if they wait for a few more days, it will all be too late.
