I can agree with that, but I'd much rather make sure nothing leaks then creating chances that will be wasted by the likes of Matri
Sure, if the WB on the other side isn't the same type of player as he is.

He could be a serious alternative to Pirlo. If it's too hard to find a direct Pirlo replacement, perhaps it could be easier to find someone to fill Leo's spot and move Leo up as our play maker.
Dude, no. Leo's passing and vision are great for a defender, but playing in midfield is a totally different matter.

Sorta vice-versa of Marrone playing as a CB.

Dude, yes. He would just need a bit of time to get his orientation. He's got all the technical features in place to play a good deep lying playmaker, in addition to that he's a beast defensively so he would provide good cover for our backline.

I hope nobody is serious about moving Bonucci into Pirlo's role cause that's just...
Once the latter retires we should give it a shot :D

No he doesn't. Do you actually think that he has the same stamina as Pirlo? Do you know how much Pirlo works to get to the ball? Have you ever seen Bonucci's head movement compared to Pirlo? The triangulisation of his play?

Come on.

I do think he has similar stamina as Pirlo, example: he chased down the mugger who turned out to be hussein bolt. do you think he outsprinted him and caught up with him or do you think he paced himself and eventually when bolt couldn't run no more, he put the woop on his ass.

Head movement and triangulisation might not be as good as Pirlo, but i think that people aren't noticing his very good head movement because he has short hair. Should grow a pirlo mane and see what gives.

pirlo is one of a kind player so naturally you are going to do a trait to trai comparison.

bonucci would do what pirlo does. perhaps not to the same extent but with his own style. he would more of a carrick than a pirlo. someone who is expected to be a DM and play maker in one.

Not to mention all the hard work and quick dribbling and touches pirlo puts in when holding up the ball in our half to take pressure off the defenders. Bonucci also has a tendency to overcommit and allow players to pass him completely when challenging outside the box and i think that would be exacerbated if he were playing high up the pitch.

I can see where the idea comes from but i just don't see any way it would be successful.

We'd have our own Busquets with him, but with worse diving.

you guys need to think outside the box a bit.

guys like asamoah, isla, zambrotta, marrone, shweini, and toure have proven you can convert a player from on position to another.

Can someone provide me with that video with those commentators saying that? I need a good laugh this morning.

3-5-2 is cool and I like how we use our 3 CB's, but at this point, with the injuries and players out form, it wouldn't hurt us to go 4-1-4-1 'till Chiello or Asa get back.
