We're just the only team that needs a regista of defence?
Um pretty much most top teams have this type of defender? Bayern have two of them.

It's the whole reason Chiellini went on that valid rant about how modern game forgot to value defenders on their defending but instead focus on technical qualities.

This is a done deal btw. Better to just accept it. There's no way Bonucci or Milan would let this kind of press go through if they weren't sure Bonucci would move back to us.

If we include Caldara in the deal it's sure as hell I won't accept it.

Unless Marotta and Paratici have a deal to join Milan next year it doesn't make sense.

Well, we are not happy with Rugani and Benatia?? We were more shaky in defense last year, so I could see why we would want him back.
Every time a defense changes, it has problems in the transition..we changed from a 3 man CB, to a 2man CB defense, early issues we're bound to happen.
Bonucci can only work among two defenders who can defend, for being the long pass man.
Getting him back means we are reverting to 3-5-2?
Meaning one of Dcosta or Dybala will dropped from starter...

A mega deal between Juventus and Milan involving Leonardo Bonucci, Gonzalo Higuain, Mattia Caldara, Mehdi Benatia and Marko Pjaca could be on the cards, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian daily believes an unprecedented exchange of players could be about to take place between the two Serie A clubs, although there are many issues still to be resolved.

Rossoneri captain Bonucci has been heavily linked with a move away from San Siro this summer, with Manchester United initially touted as his most likely destination.

However, stories have emerged in the last day that the Italy international’s preferred option is to return to Turin– just one year after he left.

Higuain, meanwhile, is set for a considerably reduced role with the Old Lady following the recent arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

He, like Bonucci, has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with his former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri keen on signing him for Chelsea.

The Diavolo are also interested and are already said to have offered the Argentine a four-year contract to remain in Serie A, although there is no agreement yet between the two clubs.

To further complicate matters, Gazzetta also reports that Milan are interested in former Atalanta defender Caldara.

The centre-back has just completed a two-year loan spell at La Dea and, despite having never played for Juve’s first team, the Bianconeri see his potential and are reluctant to allow him to leave.

Talks are said to have taken place between Caldara’s agent and Juve CEO Beppe Marotta yesterday, with new Milan general manager Leonardo monitoring the situation and eager to see a deal done.

Rather than allow Caldara to leave, Juve are believed to prefer the idea of including either Benatia or Pjaca as a potential makeweight in any deal for Bonucci.
Why not Dybala and Ronaldo too ?

Why the fuck are we even doing business with them ?

We already sold Bonucci for below market value last season. We want to embarrass ourselves again ?

What a fucking nightmare ffs

This would be bad on so many levels. We finally have thr chance to have a great offensive line up and if the management decides to pussy out by not playing all three of Costa, CR and Dybala i would be very dissapointed and can even say that we dont deserve the CL trophy.

Does Real have a regista of defence? Did Barca have one?

You don't become the best team by weakening your defence.

Yeah they are called Sergio Ramos (complete overall player but his passing is high level) and the biggiest example of passing being too overvalued at the back..... Pique.

FFS don't say that.

They should keep the idiot.

And no it has nothing to do with football. He would improve us, but fuck him, he is the Fredo of the family now. Take him out on a boat ride...

I'm not saying if I'm for or against it, but it's clearly happening.

Ruggero Bravo, a Turin restaurant owner & a very good friend of Bonucci & several Juventus players "Many fans consider Leo a traitor? There's a lot of ignorance in football, most people don't even know the true reasons behind Leo's departure: there were no problems with Allegri."

Ruggero Bravo "The Juve directors contacted Bonucci months ago, towards the end of last season, to understand his intentions. Leo would come running, but the issue is his high salary (10m/year including bonuses). In the last months he moved back to Turin to live with his family."

Milan has opened the sale of Leonardo Bonucci to Juventus, but wants to include a Juventus player in the negotiation: they particularly like Gonzalo Higuain and Mattia Caldara , no longer transferable according to the Bianconeri. The Piedmontese company, meanwhile, tried to include Mehdi Benatia as a counterpart in the negotiations for Bonucci, but Milan said no. In the maxi-exchange it could finally include the loan of Marko Pjaca , a Croatian attacker long sought in the past by the Rossoneri club. The Gazzetta dello Sport reports it .

We were an inferior team when he left, and he's still a big upgrade if we do.

Lets not fucking shit around. If you cant see how much our buildup game suffered and deteriorated without him, you are blind as fuck.

Bonucci's ball playing ability and passing range was crucial for the past several seasons and we never found a way to compensate.

Teams just marked the regista, and without Pogba we had no midfielder able to bring it forward either.

With Bonucci, Pjanic would operate much more freely. And having Ronado, Costa and Dybala to send behind the defence, its a massive danger aswel.

Meanwhile, lets not forget, Bonucci was a high class defender. He's not a one man leader and crushed under pressure. he'll return to his former excellent self.

So what was the deal ? Toxic ego presence

Fairly fucking certain he doesnt remotely has an ego left with is utter failure of a milan stint.

if the Ultra's dont block the move, we should do it.

Well, there is an option for a "more modern" 3-4-3 or not that strict 3-4-2-1, but letting go of Pjanic isnt something I would want us to do, we have very little problems in our squad atm that needs to be taken care of, instead we are creating new problems and holes that we may or may not fill and improve. If the rumors are to become official, we bring Bonucci back, sell Rugani, sell Higuain, sell Pjanic and sign the mister X for our midfield, we could look like this:

----Caldara/Benatia----Bonucci----Chiellini----
---Cancelo--Can--(Pogba/SMS/X)--ASandro---
-----------Dybala-----------DCosta-------------
----------------------CR7------------------------

Cancelo and ASandro will be very important, if they fail to deliver...

Anyway, Max will find a way to use and situate the best players on the field, there is no question that Ronaldo, Dybala and Douglas Costa should be starters, they are waaay too good and important not to be.
Dont like this Bonucci bussiness, dont like the idea of Pjanic leaving, we`ll wait and see what happens...

TBH I was ecstatic that we were selling him. His $#@!ing horrendous performance in the CL final and his (rumoured) toxic bad influence in the locker room was a sore point for me. Was glad to see the back of him.
Exactly the way i've seen it aswell, especially after the outcome of that CL final.

I know that you have been remarkably consistent in your feelings toward him. And that is not an insult or a backhanded complement

But explain this to me then. If us selling him for how much we did is a stroke of brilliance, then why was the overwhelming majority of our community so up in arms about it when it happened?

If the majority of people here now say he is lousy, then shouldn't they have been overjoyed with the sale? It was quite the opposite. At least that is how I remembered it.
People rated him. I know they did. If they say otherwise now -- they lie. I did not rate him. But let me tell you two things that you apparently forgot.

    1) It was not just a sale per se. It was how he left and where he left. It was how he spoke high of Milan, out of all teams, which left a bitter taste even for me who didn't rate him, let alone for those who adored him here and there were plenty. Big players won't do that shit. You respect your old club. I honestly thought Bonucci was always a cunt, but seeing how he left later on, made him into a even bigger cunt. Even if he was a lot better I'd never sign him back. Pogba was/is also a cunt-ish type of player but I'd actually sign him back if possible and with the right price. You just can't speak shit about us and expect us to buy you back. But if we do I'll be left surprised and I'd really think low of us.

    2) Chiellini and Barzagli. Our team. That's what gave Bonucci an opportunity to shine. He was shit at Milan as expected him. Everybody in defense has brain farts from time to time. But even despite that, I'd always count and rely on both Barzagli and Chiellini. Always. I could never say the same about Bonucci. Not ever. And especially not now.

He's right, but in the modern game you do kinda need both types or a very specialised kind of midfield (regista-ball carrier combination). And that midfield combo needs to be very potent or its shut down.

Meanwhile, reasonable distributing centreback is also solving the issue.

    Yup.

But i dont like the news around

Sounds like its "Higuain and a pjaca or X instead of caldara to soften the deal"

Bonucci, is not worth Higuain + talent. What the actual..
