This may seem like a dissapointing mercato to some, however, lets look on the bright side here.

In total net terms, we have spent close to zero. In P&L terms this is a neutral mercato given the profits to be booked on sales being offset by amortizations on acquisitions. Wage bill close to neutral as well.

So for close to ZERO economic impact, the side is stronger than last year. The bench is MUCH stronger than last year. The first team not that different - and that is probably the dissapointment, although, some of those players not in the 1st team are actually going to give the existing starting 11 a serious run for their money.

Lets take the 352 as an example:

1st team last year: Buffon, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Lichsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba, Asamoah, Tevez, Llorente.
This year: Same.

Reserve team last year: Storari, Caceres, Ogbonna, (no other CB back up), Isla, Padoin, Marchisio, (no other choice 3rd DM), Peluso, Vucinic, Quagliarella/Giovinco

This year's reserve team: Storari, Caceres, Marrone, Ogbonna, Romulo, Padoin, Marchisio, Pereyra, Evra, Morata, Coman/Giovinco

Now with a back 4, we have Evra, Pereyra, Morata and Coman as players who can adapt to that role. We do have a lot more TACTICAL options.

I give this mercato a 6.5/10 given that in net terms it cost us close to nothing in net terms.

I know what some of you are going to say, yes, but Romulo and Pereyra are loan deals with buy out clauses - the point is, if they prove their worth, they will be worth it - if not, we are not OBLIGED to buy them out.

Overall its not such a bad mercato.

Seeing what Man Utd is doig I will not be surprised if they make some last minute Vidal offer of 70-80 million and we let him go.

The transfer window was shit for us but i don't care because i wasn't expecting anything better. After recent years i have no expectations so i dont get upset over anything. I am annoyed Man Utd signed Falcao because he is one of my favourite players but i have a good feeling they wont get into the top 4 this season either so will be happy to see him fail their. Coman and Morata could potentially be great and our mercato could actually better than it looks right now.
