Keeping our players does not score more points, and I'm glad we've had no Galliani-esque comments from Marotta claiming that Vidal and/or Pogba count as new signings because we kept them.

However we do get points for signing players which allow us to play different formations as well as offloading Quagliarella and Vucinic while replacing them with younger players who all look promising. Maybe would rather have kept Ciro instead of signing Morata but I'm happy with how things worked out.

7/10

 id say the real points are in the sales, despite major failure in the rest of the dead weight.

As Juve I don't take us 'keeping our best players' in to account when rating the Summer. It should be mandatory at a club of this size & stature
By the sound of a lot of people moaning around here, we don't have the mercato pull that we used to so I think we aren't the "size and stature" that would suggest we are the type of club that can hold onto its players for as long as we want, that's why I think its important to note that in the rating ESPECIALLY considering the two of Pogba & Vidal.

I'd say 6/10. Of course looking back in a few months if some of our loan deals do exceptionally well or Coman explodes it could be a 7.

Once again we haven't got ourselves a star signing to push us to the next level. But optimistically this should be possible with the new Adidas deal among other things in 1 years time.

Romulo - I am a fan of this purchase. Better than Padoin and Isla, very cheap loan fee with a cheap option to buy

Pereyra - He could be a good purchase. He'll have to do pretty well to justify the price tag if we take it up, imo he will be a key squad player this season. I feel much more secure with Marchisio/Pirlo AND Pereyra on stand-by as opposed to last year where we had to pray we were injury free in midfield.

Morata - Clearly has potential, it's a hefty fee and Madrid are almost certainly not going to want him back whilst their clause is in tact. So we should be safe there. Far too early to judge this signing as it's potentially a very long term one. We need to see him in action tbh.

Coman - Long story short, great pick up by the looks of it. Hope he gets ample time.
agreed romulo is the best purchase imo

When rating the mercato, someone shouldn't forget that our board had to cope with a coach change out of the blue 1 day after the pre-season training had started. New coach. New targets, etc.

he didnt look to be the right fit here, i think that we really needed the cash from his sale asap thats why we hurried with his sale, could have possibly gotten more but we had no choice
iirc it had alot to do with torino wanting that sale, and we just agreed cause we had little to say

But the coach quit because Marotta sold Vidal remember.
