They buy from the same subcontractors so it's all the same stuff.

Just because they called it Apple don't mean it's anything special inside.
they might buy from the same but it dont mean they re buying the same, apple laptop are simply superior not to mention their excellent warranty policy. simply no one comes close to their product.

However Dell's corporate line is excellent quality.
That is only in the past 10 years because they had to remain somewhat competitive in the corporate market. I was still in high school, but I still recall IBM thinkpads, workstations and servers being the industry standard and benchmark. Dell has improved but they are still behind the Lenovo curve. Right now I have a Thinkpad from my firm and the client I work for gave me a Dell Latitude D620 which will be switched out for the HP Elitebook series. These poor companies just keep getting screwed with bad products from poor manufacturers.

ezzakly! when it comes to laptops only apple comes out victorious
Not for business, player

LENOVO :D

Booyah!

I second that. I guess Dell's are fine.

My co-worker just got a Toshiba for about 35k. Want more info?
Toshiba is pretty good as well. I don't like their recent lines from the past 4 years but the Satellite was a solid machine.

If you want a decent synopsis of what sort of computers to buy, don't look for one here. Nobody can really look at this topic objectively because they're too busy hating on Apple.

I don't know how anyone can stand that OS, dumbed down and crippled as it is.
Isn't that the point of an OS, ease of use?

And don't forget the dumbed down mouse pad with no touch input and one giant button so that the Apple users don't get too confused.

I find it amusing how Apple creates devices so simply dumb with no true core competencies yet they charge so much for just the name. And what is more amusing are the dumb people that fall into purchasing such products.

And I'll let Martin take it from here :D

As it should be. You hate on Israel and Italiens, I hate on Apple.

I promised myself I wouldn't explode.
My opinions on Israel and faux Italians are justified.

IMO, your hate on Apple is nothing but rubbish. You can't even admit they make good products.

dru, I'm a huge fan of Lenovo, actually I am typing this post from a Lenovo machine but what I meant to say is that Dell's corporate line is really good and it's actually way much better than their private line. As to what machine is better between Lenovo and Dell, I am totally with you.
