You have to remember though, Lampard fits in where Deco, VDV and Diego do not - in Ranieri's beloved 4-4-2.

Put Sissoko or Zanetti alongside him and I think Ranieri would get rather excited by the prospect.

I prefer vdv or Diego over him thou.

I think Lampard is worst option out there.
Not at all. VDV and Diego are are great players but real expensive.

Lamps is proven under our coach, scores loads of goals, is a good passer of the ball and does alot of work on the field. If we were to get VDV our left side would be good but our CM would remain less than dynamic.

If we get Lampard though I could see us having even more success than with VDV as Giovinco could win a place on our left and add creativity and Lamps would take the CM and add alot of quality and goals.

I don't see VDV and Giovinco together. As for Diego I think he is simply out of our price range.

I would be real happy with:

---------------Del Piero-------------Trez
Giovinco---Lamps/Marchisio-----Sissoko/Zanetti-------Camo

It will be even better if Nedved decides to play on and we can pick between him and Giovinco for the left. At left back a player like Clichy would be great if we can get him or the Udinese player or anyone with real quality :)

waste of money imo, VDV or diego may cost more but in the long run lampard will clean us out with his high wages and eventually leave with his sweaty, oily paws on our money that could have gone to a better player(s).

@CalcioJuventus

Ok,well we have different opinions. No need to argue with that post I guess.
it is good to have different opinions as it adds perspective and helps each other see possibilities.

VDV would no doubt be and excellent buy but I am just saying if we can't get him we can still get alot from a player like Lampard.

I just feel with Camo and Giovinco we could sort of have a set up like Mourinho did where Lamps scored alot from Robben and Duff's creativity.

But I too would buy VDV or Diego firstly. I just don't see us beating the competition in signing them.

With regard to the comment posted above Dule's. Lampard is not simply a money grabbing worm, he is a professional footballer. If u watch him on the field he has the desire to win and gives everything. He would not screw us over. I used to have a negative opinion of him for a long time but after watching him a lot I am impressed by his poise, mentality and ability.

anyway I gotta get to class. :pint:

You know,i didnt think of the 'If Lampard comes,Ranieri stays' bit before.Im all for the Lampard move(provided that he takes a wage cut, which i remember reading he was willing to take),but if this means that the Tinkerman stays, then i hope all flights from London to Turin and Vice Versa get cancelled for the next year.

I think you can`t even compare players like Lampard and vdV/Diego.Lampard is a professional?Ok I can agree with that.
Desire to win and give everything?Maybe but that`s not something that imortant.I know it means when player plays with his heart but that`s not the reason to have much better opinion on him.I could say the same for Molinaro I guess.

I think Lampard is just average player.

Another thing, his wages are like 6-7mln euros probably at Chel$ki so even if he accept cutting wages to even 4-5mln I think it`s just too much for someone like him.

But hey,it`s just my opinion.

this makes very good sense.

Well your opinion sucks:D

Maybe.

I just don`t know how can player like Lampard earn that much.If it was 3mln euros I`d take him(maybe).

The only reason I voted yes here was because I was pissed at our midfield.

Now when I look at some players like van der Vaart,Diego,Hamsik and Nasri I can just say big no to Lampard any day.

Another thing

Roma is having some problems renewing Aquilani`s contract. He already said he wouldn`t mind Inter so he could leave this summer.

Another great player that I prefer over fat Frank.
