i dont understand how ppl in this forum see lampard as not juve material...
he was one of mourinhos brightest players alongside drogba and terry..and was hugely responsible for the prem titles chelski has won
id love to see him in a juve jersey....him and someone like macherano as a cmf duo would be devastating.....theyd be on par with pirlo-gattuso and vieira-cambiasso if not better even

No, Mark. But he will score around that amount because his record (and expectations) suggests so. what you did was underrate his main ability.

Here are his total goal stats for the past few seasons:
03-04 = 15 goals in 58 games
04-05 = 19 goals in 58 games
05-06= 20 goals in 50 games
06-07 = 21 goals in 62 games

and right now he has about 11 or 12 goals so far this season.

I don't understand, if a forward like Drogba or Ruud or Henry had joined us, you'd all be saying that that around 20 goals would be a minimum expectation, but somehow for Lampard it becomes not possible?

Nice stats, but will he play 60 matches in one season for Juve ?
He has FA Cup, League Cup, EPL and CL (they always go far in CL), while for Juve he won't play more than 40-45 matches.

And will he take the penalty kicks in Juve ? Because close to half, and if not half at least 1/3 of his goals were scored from PK.

True he scored quite a few goals from penalties, so there is that to consider

and yes, there is more competitions in england than in Italy ,but ( as long as he is not injured) I think he will play all, or almost all our games in a season (like he does for chelsea) which means he should score close to that amount. plus I think the slower pace of serie A could be to his advantage.

good observation, Alen

I just found a more detailed stats of Lampard:

03-04 = 15 goals (12 Deflections + 3 PKs)
04-05 = 19 goals (16 Deflections + 3 PKs)
05-06= 20 goals (12 Deflections + 8 PKs)
06-07 = 21 goals (15 Deflections + 6 PKs)

you really are one strange bloke..but to be honest i like you:martini:
Im not strange.
Also i like your team Arsenal as well and current team.
I was actually one of few Chelsea supporters in 2004 who used to say that Arsenal plays best football which was true at time ..Arsenal never lost a game in that year, and that was only reason why Ranieri's Chelsea did not won Premiership. Even we kicked u out of europe in fantastic game , thanks to W. Bridge..Do u remember?

is that a compliment or what? someone scoring that many goals from deflections is great cause deflected shots are harder to stop; and most if not all are intended. also he plays 50+ games a season, that should be a bonus as well.

I don't question his attacking ability but we need players with proper defensive covering.

plus i really do not see him worth more than 3.5mill/year

Third the possibility of him leaving chelsea is not more than 20% IMO

the only English players who I would really love to see at Juve would be either Terry or Gerrard...the rest I don't care for really

yeah i think he would do well here too but his salary is rediculous. either way i would like to see him with us.

I think also our team would do great with him in a 4-3-3 and maby Tiago would be more useful playing along Lampard who he is familiar with and had success with in the past.

I could see this team doing wonders for us:

--Iaquinta/Del Piero-----------------Trezeguet
-------------------------Diego------------------

Lampard-----------Zanetti-------------Nocerino/Tiago

Molinero-----Chiellini------Andrade-------Zebina

-----------------------Buffon---------------------

and I think we have the money to buy both Diego and Lampard whose transfer would not be that big due to the opt out rule. plus we could make some more money by permanently selling Zala, Almiron?, Boumsong,

and bringing Giovinco and Marchisio back

Lampard Juventus Deal To Be Done By Christmas – Report

The deal to bring Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard to Juventus next season could be signed and sealed by Christmas, according to reports in Italy and England.

The Times newspaper says that Lampard will utilize a FIFA transfer clause to sign for the Bianconeri in the summer.

As the ex-West Ham man is over the age of 28, and has already seen out most of his current contract, Chelsea are powerless to let him leave for a cut-price sum.

Italian newspaper ‘Leggo’ has also reported on the matter, and there are more claims that Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco will fly to London before Christmas to complete the deal.

Secco has already held extensive talks with the Stamford Bridge hierarchy last month, and it is believed that there are only a few formalities to complete.

Lampard will agree to a cut in wages in order to hook up with Claudio Ranieri, the man who launched his career by signing him for Chelsea from West Ham in 2001.

The 29-year-old has since developed into of the most prolific goalscoring midfielders in Europe, and he has netted 20 plus goals for the past two seasons.
