I wanted to mention Mcmanaman, but his appearances for Real got reduced through time.Though he was pretty good in his first season there. And you can blame your youth for the opinion you hold of Gazza's time at Lazio:D.He never got going there because of injuries and inconsistent form.

Beckham could make the list of succesful english players who played abroad too.I think his career at Madrid is very underated.Gary Lineker did very well for Barcelona too.
yea his time there is underrated coz he didnt do shit! ;)

I agree that Owen was not given a fair crack and Beckham had his moments.

Perhaps my argument would have been tighter if I'd said that the number of un-successful English exports far outweighs the successful ones. Additionally Italy is not Spain (I checked a map on this one) and the cultural differences of the Italian lifestyle and game seem to suit English players far less IMO.

The only English players that I wouldn't mind having in the Juve side would be Micah Richards and Aaron Lennon, it would be awesome but it will never happen...

Many football fans seem to believe Lennon is very overrated, just like Lampard is.

Personally, I don't agree with them. Lennon would be an inspired replacement for Nedved, but ultimately quite difficult to obtain.

England is far more physical than italy..so if he isnt soft for England then he isnt soft for Italy..i dont think he's good enough though.

 :agree: couldn't agree with you more. England is more physical but their football style is boring for me. The only team I can bear watch from the EPL is Arsenal, the rest of the other teams play long balls.

Juventus midfielder Sergio Almiron is being linked with a move to the Premier League with West Ham and Tottenham believed to be interested. The Argentine has failed to fully settle in Turin and it has been suggested that Bianconeri sporting director Alessio Secco discussed his sale when he was in London last month. An estimated £6m would be required to secure the ex-Empoli man’s services.
