no Q he's a good player for chelsea or at least an effective one but how likely is he to travel well..? another david platt/ian rush sit'n in the making IMO.

plus why would chelsea sell 50% of their goals anyway? his personality off the field must be sh*tty..
It's a risk but Lampard is worth it for his price. And think about this. Lamaprd is a Juve type player: A player with a incredible workrate and high consistency in the mould of Buffon, (young) nedved, Thuram..etc.

Chelsea would sell becuase if he does not renew his contract they could risk losing him for free.

And his personality of the field isn't shit. Lamaprd is a model professional. He has spent 5 years in Chelsea and is their vice-captain.

BTW we really could have used Lampard againt Inter yesterday. almot no creativity. Inter playing with solid defense inside the box. Camo comes on for 20 minutes and scores a deflection goal. Lampard would have a had a field day taking deflection shots at Inter players.

Lampard would be a great! If Secco can pull this deal i would be very pleased. Finally then we have 1 of the 3 champions he promised. Btw didnt Lampard scored over 100 goals for Chelski? If that is true then that is an amazing record for a midfielder.

Atm Iaquinta is one of these 3 champions imo!

Juve dont need a Kaka type player in my opinion. The reason we win like we don is that no player cant be replaced if he has an off day besides maybe buffon. Even Nedved isnt that creative but he will out work you till that ball is in the net. Thats what we need and I think that Lampard would thrive at Juve.

BTW-Nedved is a great passer and very good at crossing and I think this is what makes Lampard good too. And oh yeah look at that shot they both have.

I don't understand the posts about the wages being too high.

Lampard would ask for about 5 M a year. To sign a play like Diego you would need at the very least 25-30 million (not counting his wages) so in truth getting lamaprd would be cheaper I think.

It's very simple really, get rid of Boumsong + Zebina (whom their total wage comes to 5 M) and you've just made paying Lampard's wages possible.

I just fear the England player travelling well, no Q he is box-to-box fighter and after seeing Inter game well, maybe worth a look but how many English abroad have been really successful? There has to be something in this!

Owen wasnt given a fiar chance..but when he played he scored..McManaman wasnt bad at Real either..i'm too young to remember this but i had the impression Gascoine was good for Lazio.

I wanted to mention Mcmanaman, but his appearances for Real got reduced through time.Though he was pretty good in his first season there. And you can blame your youth for the opinion you hold of Gazza's time at Lazio:D.He never got going there because of injuries and inconsistent form.

Beckham could make the list of succesful english players who played abroad too.I think his career at Madrid is very underated.Gary Lineker did very well for Barcelona too.
