They're investigating a Malaa player
It does look shady as hell, though.

It looks very weird, but I don't think individual players are approached to 'fix' high profile games. What's more likely imo is that a defender is asked to allow Ronaldo to score at least twice or something. I just don't see why Real would buy games and open themselves up to a world of pain.

Barca penalty was worse anyway imo, deliberate and premeditated.

Also Juve, Milan and inter. No other league has 3 clubs of this caliber
What is this graphic even based on?

How come Bundesliga was the best league at a time when the European Cup as it was called back then was being won almost every year by an English club?

La Liga has more CL's, more UEFA cups and more Super cups than any other league.

To be honest, I don't think that is enough, because for example lets say if Celtic were to win the CL, does that mean the Scottish league is the best league. It obviously doesn't, it just means Celtic is a strong team. Still, I think titles won is the best proxy measure we have, since none of us has been watching those leagues week in week out since the 70's.

Hmm, don't think cup wins are really that well suited as well, afaik many clubs up until the 90es didn't really care that much about European cups, at least compared to now, and strongly prioritized the national leagues.

Halt die Klappe
He's looking at Ronaldo several times before letting the ball slip through. He did that on purpose.

FYI Malaga President is Madridrista (and even stronger love affair with real due Isco) and publicly said they won't allow those Barca scum to win league title.

Its based on UEFA coefficient, dont know if it was calculated the same way as now though:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_coefficient

None other league has 3 clubs historically as great as Juve, Milan and inter. None other league has had as many different UEFA competitions winners as Italy (11, Spain has 9). Spain has the most trophies (55, Italy 48), but thats mostly thanks to their recent success of Sevilla, Barca and Madrid (they won like 4 trophies a season for 3 years). Serie A has also had the most different Balon dor winners (15, Spain had 10), and tied for total wins (again thanks to their recent domination with Messi and Ronaldo, and only because were counting Cannavaro 06 and Ronaldo 02 for both). If it wasnt for their recent success this wouldnt even be a discussion, but thanks to them winning so much on the last 10 years they closed the gap to Serie A

Forgot one thing to mention, number of trophies doesent have to mean much. If you have 3 english clubs in the semifinal and Barcelona wins (thanks to refs, got destroyed vs Chelsea), does than mean La Liga is the strongest league for that year?

So that means Sevilla is the best in UEFA Cup history, Real is by far the best in CL history, and then they have Barcelona who is up there with the best in the CL. Also, you say if it wasn't for their recent success it wouldn't be a discussion; that is true, but you can't just choose to dismiss those last ten years; as a kid I grew up with Serie A generally being known as the best league, but then the past ten years happened, and now its a whole different discussion.

I agree with the last statement by the way, and the example you gave is similar to my Celtic one. But none of us watched any of those leagues in the eighties or seventies, so theres really not much for us to go by.

One thing I don't understand about that chart though, in the late seventies up until the mid eighties, English teams were winning the CL almost every year, and three different clubs won it. How can it not have been the best league back then?
