Inter equalised in last minute of injury time - 95th minute.

I watched the match from 32 minutes onwards and it is lame to say that the ref was biased. Emre is lucky not to have been given a yellow card for diving. If it was in the African Cup of Nations there would be no hesitation to book him. What is this about Adriano being onside? What minute did this happen.
Cordoba did something incredible! With the ball past him & Neddy in a situation where he would be 1 on 1 with Fontana, Cordoba lunged stupidly and fouled Neddy rather maliciously. Damn lucky Neddy didn't get a serious injury. That in my books is a red card.
There were some reckless tackles from Juve but none in 1 on 1 situation so can you atleast be good losers.

Oh shit, haha. WHat am I thinking.

Somehow I got this notion that Inter scored in OT, and I was like WTF?

But he scored in the 95th, last possible moment of second half. I wasnt thinking. Haha.

Thanks.

Inter has always been a sore loser. They're always complaining. They prefer talking than doing. That's why they always fall down before winning the title.

Very entertaing and thrilling match indeed, but still not what I was looking for after the Roma defeat. Our defence was exposed yet again, even against a 10 man Inter. I appreciate the goals being scored by Tudor and Del Piero though as it was completely hard to score with many players blocking the way in front of Fontana.

I was confident going through the penalties since we had more attacking players than Inter in the field (DP-Treze-Nedved-Miccoli), and the trio mentioned first started from the second half and thus were lest tired. Vieri was clealry exhausted as he hardly moved during the extra time period.

Tactically, Juve were the better team as well. Inter looked lost most of the time and played without a clear scheme. Inter's substitutions were also wierd as Van Der Myede was substitued in (Cana) and then out (Emre) again. That left Zac with no other options going towards the end of the match.

I think this win and the final birth in the Coppa Italia could be a turning point for us and hopfully things will turn better in Serie A too.

Juve's best player: Enzo Maresca. It's not easy to emmulate Nedved in the first half successfuly, and then Tacchi in the second. But Enzo did the job with great fashion. Well Done !!

(Even though Del Piero scored a goal and cleared Adani's header off the line, but still he was slow and his passes were soft).

Juve's worst player: Couldn't find anyone but I think Trezeguet wasn't involved much.

Inter's best player: Adriano. Everytime he touched the ball he was dangerous. But thanks to our one man advantage we were able to contain him. J. Zanetti is a close second as he commanded Inter's defence superbly.

Inter's worst player: Van Der Myede. Didn't add anything to Inter's cause and wasted 2 substitutions from Zac. A close second is Farinos for his terrible marking on Del Piero's goal, and also weak midfield.

Silver star? Why not.

Juventus to the final
13 02 2004

(La Presse)
It had to be like this! Juventus will play the final match of Coppa Italia Tim Cup against Lazio. Inter beated at San Siro stadium. After 120 minutes of game, the match finishes to the penalty goal. Great block by Chimenti on Vieri. On march 17th and 13th the double match with Lazio.

OH MY GOD
I can't believe it, after a 2-2 leg at Delle Alpi our chances of going through were slim but we are Juventus!!

I haven't been this happy for weeks!! YESSSSSSSS

ya maresca was the best, but u cant say del piero was slow, he was supposed to be slow and keep possesion in order not to allow inter to gain counterattacks, but still maresca was outstanding yesterday..

True, but when the score was 2-1 to our favour Inter came out searching for the equalizer and at that time we had counter-attacks ourselves. If Del Piero was fast enough or the passes were better placed we could've finished off the match 3-1. But anyway, Del Piero also defended well playing as a midfielder most of the time :)

Even Trez did some defending. And the mood of the players on the bench was positive. Everyone was relaxed & laughing. Buffon, Thuram, Nedved, Dp .... The whole bunch seemed to be having a lot of fun. I hope this is a starting point.

To be honest, this is really a hard to just let go, its not just about La coppa, its the principle of the matter. Like I said, Im not here bashing anyone in particular, but Im just pissed off as all hell that the ref could not let these 2 teams decide whos the best on the pitch and instead took matter into his own hands.
Burn in hell Pellegrinno!
Yeah, the ref rigged the game for Juve so well that Inter equalised in the 95th minute, right?

What is it with you Italians, why is the mentality always of the negative kind? Juventus yesterday went 2-1 up with about 15 or so to go , against 10 men and instead of looking for the third goal, they all sat back and defended. Dp was almost playing like a defensive midfielder, Maresca was always playing the ball backwards all the time inviting trouble and lo and behold Inter equalised
Why because Appiah is the worst passer of the ball in SerieA, for the umpteenth time , he passed the ball into space when he could easily have given it to a team mate, but no he had to lose possesion again and Inter equalised from it

It would be a miracle if we win anything with the likes of Montero and especially Leggrotaglie in defence, I mean the amount of mistakes that went unpunushed by those 2 in the second half onwards alone is frightening

Good to see Nedved and Dp come on and change the complexity of the game but Dp needs to be a bit braver and start running at defenders

Controversy what controversy, Emre took a dive and the referee was right, his only mistake was not to book the little runt
Zambrotta might have got a penalty when he was brought down by Adani
Well its into the final to meet our old nemesis and on a slight footnote, we still have not managed to beat any of the big boys this season

Agreed we should not have defended instead we could wrapped up the game.

Am beginning to think that you have something personal against Appiah. The lad had a wonderful game last night. His passes were really good & yes he may have made a few mistakes but overall he had a very good game.

It would be a miracle if we win anything with the likes of Montero and especially Leggrotaglie in defence, I mean the amount of mistakes that went unpunushed by those 2 in the second half onwards alone is frightening
The only thing that kept us in this game was that we attacked more - We were hungrier than Inter. The worst thing about it is that we conceded 2 soft goals yet again.

Good to see Nedved and Dp come on and change the complexity of the game but Dp needs to be a bit braver and start running at defenders
There was a lot tactics involved in the game.
Best tactic: Go for it Juve by Lippi
Worst tactic: Switch to defence after 2nd goal.

Our performance warranted a win last night as it has mostly been against the big teams. We rarely deliver or mar a brilliant performance by conceeding soft goals.

I have to disagree, Juve did not seat back and defend, the whole second half was played in Inter's half, we were definetely looking for the killer blow it's just that, that captain of theirs--- Javier Zanetti is just on another level, he is such a great defender, i really really admire him.

As for your other assessments, i completely agree, Appiah is the one who caused the equalizing goal and that was so stupid of him to do that, i really think he needs to be on the bench with Tachinnardi and Maresca playing, i don't know when Lippi will realize that...

Montero and Legrotaglie... Montero has done a lot for us but his time is over, even Ferrara was playing much much better.... Legrotagllie, what a waste of money, Chievo definetely robbed us, this guys sucks... i hope he really proves me wrong but i've seen him so many times and he just makes fatal mistakes... the first game i saw him was a game here in the US against Barcelona and his mistake led to their first goal, since then he's just been making mistake after mistake...
