And who is the target man? Matri?
All our ST reek of mediocrity regardless. I'd be willing to give matri a run of 4 or 5 games consistently in the 433 and keep my mouth shut to give him a chance.

Isla has always for Chile, While Giovinco did when we trashed Torino with 3-0. IRRC he had a goal and a assist.

Maybe also 1 shot against Parma. Two shots against Sampdoria. But hey they were enough to drop points.
Yep. Shows how weak our offense is for one, and our inability to break down the defense on our wings with we don't use natural wingers anyways, so go figure.

My point was pretty obvious. So essentially you're agreeing with the notion of playing players out of position to suit a system. That sounds contradictory.
1 position until Pepe is fit.

versus

2 positions: LWB Asamoah and Caceres at LCB

Simple math here.

So by moving to 4-3-3 we will give up 0 shots a game or Buffon will not make any mistakes, or De Ceglie will learn how to defend?

Ah, the irony of simple math in relation to this argument.

1. Without Chiellini in the back 3 we have lost solidity. We need 4 until he gets back...and when he does, even better for the 433 with all CB's healthy and Licht doing a better job as a RB than RWB.

2. Peluso instead of DC

We force players to play in unnatural roles, yet Isla, as an attacking player with pace and more technical abilities than Pepe, can't play as a RW?

Come on.

Even Caceres now.

Marrone as CB?

oops.

I'm just wondering when this "4-3-3 with Pepe" has become the bench mark for successful, winning football.

If I were to just use simple math to decide which formation has been more successful...

With 433 far more ballpossesion. Our GK and defence will rarely get dispusited. Watch Barca, they have an awful awful defence. But opponements rarely has the ball.

Isla hasn't always for Chile. Against Argentina he played right back, can't be bothered to search further back. In Bielsa's 3-3-1-3 he played on the right of the midfield trio.

So for Giovinco it is once?

Mirko/Gio-Matri-Isla/Gio

The top 3 would be switching mid play anyways and constantly overlapping when they cut in. Why is it so hard to get this?

I see, still wondering aloud?

Formations have an impact on how we use spaces, make a difference in how the players are supposed to move and therefore, it changes the overall play. Not saying one formation is better than the other, but against minnows we should have more options going forward, because otherwise our play is too congested.
