He tore his meniscus and underwent a bunch of unsuccessful surgeries all last season. So I'm guessing all that slicing and dicing has left some scarring which causes irritation after a run of successive games. If he's not getting anymore treatment/surgery then maybe he's destined to play a limited amount of football for the foreseeable future. Unless he's due for another surgery at the end of the season.

He also had great link-up play with him in the Lazio game. It's nice to know we have a player of Asamoah's quality to deputise for Pogba, and we dont miss a beat as a team at all.
