Should play instead of Peluso. He'll add to the much needed solidity on the left flank, I really don't care if doesn't bring anything forth from the left side, but we really can't afford to concede.
Ive been an Asamoah Fan since his beginnings in Udinese , you guys keep bashing him for his poor recent performance , forgetting he is playing in an unusual position , which is extremely difficult a wingback. There are not may left wing backs who can dribble better than asamoah(with the exception of marcelo) , maybe in defending but there are very few, You think Peluso is better well what did he do against lahm ,he couldn't even stop robben, absolutely nothing and this is a guy on form, how many of his so called crosses. How about marchisio he wasn't even in existense, it was like just Pirlo and Vidal. Asamoah natural position is in the middle , that is where he truly blossoms. Asamoah is an extremely talented player , however he physcological problems , on his best day he can really perform no matter the opponent. On his worst day he can be extremely annoying. It is up to the coach to push him to his best, being a wingback allows in to defend only , but in the middle, he is monster his dribbling technique allows him to be unstoppable. If you guys want an ultimate left winger/back then it would be Marcelo, but even marcelo is fortunate as he doesn't have to be offensive, since they already have wingers.

I like Asamoah on the left. Even as a LB in a back 4 he'd do a fine job if needed, little like Essien at Madrid. He may not have a huge offensive influence but he strengthens the midfield because he isn't afraid to hold the ball under pressure and find the right pass. The money was well spent.

He's clumsier in possession but more chances of an end product than Peluso or Lichsteiner. Probably his indecisiveness in dribbling and passing makes him unpredictable, usually it seems he's waiting for a mistake from the defender.

Peluso delivers good crosses.
Crosses depend more on the striker beating his defender in air or losing the defender with movement; Asamoah usually tries to smash the ball across the face of goal, needing a slight deflection from striker or defender. To me that's more effective against good defenders in top teams.

Asa is too predictable. Doesn't matter how many stepovers he does, we all know he is going to push it to the line with his left foot.
